Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

Hello Constance Lassort,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Plankton Invasion, may be copied from http://www.planktoninvasion.com/en/. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 15:57, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MadmanBot,

I copied indeed the content of http://www.planktoninvasion.com/en/ because I didn't know I'm not allowed, as an official member of the company, to reuse our official texts. My point is: as I wrote by myself this text, why should I rewrite it using other words? Please let me know if I have to rewrite this section. Thank you for helping me.  Constance Lassort (talk) 08:34, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Angelo rules, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. --Jakob (talk) 23:50, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Constance Lassort. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Angelo Rules, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:36, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Plankton Invasion requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.planktoninvasion.com/docs/PLA_DP_VA_LD.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Copyright problem: Angelo Rules[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Angelo Rules, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.tvfrance-intl.com/en/programmes/presentation/fiche/42178_angelo-la-debrouille.html or your company's own promotional materials, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Angelo Rules saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:08, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that if you add copyright material to this wiki again, I intend to ask that you be blocked from editing here until such time as you show that you understand and agree to abide by our policies. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:08, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Sc-yellowbird-onesheet-final.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sc-yellowbird-onesheet-final.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:05, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio at Yellowbird[edit]

In this edit you added a statement about the plot of the film. However, it appears that text was copied from another website which does not permit such re-use. If that is the case, a copyright violation has occurred. I have reworded the text to remove the violation. Please be aware that editors who introduce copyright violations to Wikipedia are blocked to prevent further editing. With some rare exceptions, text added to articles must be written by the person who adds the text. Johnuniq (talk) 23:58, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Constance Lassort. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article TeamTO, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 12:11, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I see that you continue to ignore the advice contained in this standard message, which I first left here for you in March 2014. Please try to understand this:
  • this is not an advertising platform
  • it is an encyclopaedia
  • content such as "TeamTO is renowned for a singular high standard of quality and its respect for the vision of its creative talent" has no place here
  • you MAY NOT copy your company's promotional literature into Wikipedia, even short phrases such as "control every stage of the production process"
  • if you have a reasonable proposal for a change to a page about the company or one of its products, you are invited to request it on the talk-page of the article; you must declare your conflict of interest when you do so.
Please ask here if you have any questions, or any difficulty in understanding any of this. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:55, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
