User talk:Claycrow
Scarecrow images
[edit]Basically, what should be in the fair use rationale is the following:
Description: What the image is, and where it ultimately came from. For most screen captures I've dealt with I've been trying to use the format of: "Screen capture from Series episode "Title" (original air date Month Day, Year)."
Source: This is where the image file came from. If it's from a specific website, then it would be the url for that specific page. If it's a capture you made, something along the lines of "Screen capture made by me, User:Claycrow, the original uploader." would work.
Portion used: In most cases this, for a screen cap, this would be either "Single frame" or "Portion of a single frame".
Resolution: This is a statement of the size of the image. Generally the images should be no bigger than 300 pixels across and 72 pixels-per-inch.
Purpose: This is what articles the image is used in and why. Each article needs to be listed, with an appropriate reason.
Replaceability: Basically if a free use image exists that can be used instead of a non-free one. In the case of the Scarecrow, since DC holds a copyright and trademark on the various likenesses used, a free image doesn't, and can't exist.
Other info: Anything that doesn't fit in the above, but you feel is important to include.
There is a template I use, {{Non-free media rationale}} that generates the nice table layout. You can use that ore specify each of these item in a fair use section when you upload the images.
- J Greb 07:33, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- OK... you can add the text one of two ways:
- If you're uploading an image for the first time, there is a place on the upload page to include "other information". You would just cut an paste the fair use rationale (FUR) in that place.
- If the image has already been uploaded, it's just like editing an article. Got to the image page, click on the "edit this page" tab, and put in the FUR info.
- Also, only Admins have the tools for page deletion, so I wouldn't worry about that.
- If you're going to upload the later TAS version of Scarecrow, upload it as a new image, not over the one that is already there. - J Greb 02:46, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
RE: Relibity
[edit]First off, stop yelling. It's uncivilized and rude. Anywho, I always found Game Informer to be unreliable. They have a bad history. Even saying that the release date for Brawl was going to be June-something before Nintendo officially slated a release date a month later at E3. It's not like Nintendo Power because Nintendo Power is written and sold by people who work for Nintendo and is Nintendo's official magazine, so it has more credibility. Thus Game Informer equals unreliable. Ryu-chan (Talk | Contributions) 14:45, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Well at least you know why I find them unreliable. Ryu-chan (Talk | Contributions) 14:54, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Wii Fii
[edit]I don't have a Wii Fii thing yet, but I'll try to get one. As far as characters go, as long as Luigi returns, I'll be happy. After all, it is called Super Smash BROTHERS. Many people believe that Sonic will be in it just because Snake is in it. The only thing wrong with Sonic being in it is that if he is in it, nobody is gonna care about the other newcomers. (Wario, Snake, etc) I'm everything but certain that Ness won't return.Green Kirby 17:23, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
you should change this too sonic is in it and your wrong about "The only thing wrong with Sonic being in it is that if he is in it, nobody is gonna care about the other newcomers" b/c i care who is coming in or coming out.--FrosticeBlade 20:55, 16 October 2007 (UTC)::
Something to do
[edit]Don't apologise. It gives me something to do. I check this site every 2 minutes to see if I have a new meassage. Remember I don't have a life. Oh Dr.Mario and Younge Link are definatly out. I believe that Pichu and Mr. Game and Watch won't return. The only reason Ness returned for melee was because Lucas's games were'nt realesed yet. You see, Lucas was originally gonna replace Ness in melee, which tells me that people did'nt like Ness. And now seeing as how Lucas is in this game, tells me Ness won't return.Green Kirby 17:58, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Back
[edit]Hey, I'm back. I just kicked butt as Kirby for 20 minutes. I always fight level 9 characters because it makes it more challenging.Green Kirby 20:52, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Advice
[edit]My advice is to try to avoid as many attacks as possible because it's pretty much impossible to fight a level 9 character. I just wait until the perfect moment, such as waiting for a pokeball to come down or my personal favorite is that small green bomb. My favorite move as Kirby is when you go up in the air, and turn into a rock and come down. That move almost always works with me. Or you could just keep praticing. I have played the game for 6 years, ..... Anyways, hope that works!Green Kirby 21:22, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- So has that advice helped you?Green Kirby 02:04, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

- I have also taken the liberty of removing statements about poeople's age from the page. It is very very much a bad idea. DGG (talk) 00:16, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Take a moment to read that, especially WP:NOT#GUIDE and WP:IINFO. What you (and many other people are suggesting) should also be looked at under WP:ROC. Also, you should look at is Wikipedia:Wikiquette#How_to_avoid_abuse_of_talk_pages, WP:USER, and WP:TALK. I'm aware that you are young and think you can contribute something useful. You can't. That is, not a lot. At least on the SSBB page you can't unless you can think of something that is relevant to the article and informative. Believe me, it'll save you a lot of grief if you can just practice cleaning up for a while as people have a kind of article territory. Encroaching on that space is something that annoys those who have a better grasp on what they're doing, especially considering that they have done a majority of the constructive edits. Just saying. What do you think of the "EarthBound 64" article?
[edit]I "reverted" the merge (I put reverted in parenthesis because it wasn't so much a reversion since I basically made a new article for it). What do you think? - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 08:41, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Flat Man Marvel
[edit]Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Flat Man Marvel, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. [edit]My mistake. I have restored the revision of the page that you created originally. However, I have reverted several instances of unconstructive edits you made to other articles. Thank you.
The article Beau Heyward has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 13:48, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
