There were no ethnic group named "Azerbaijani" and especially not a nation named "Azerbaijan" in the Caucasus at that time. This is unamious in scholarship [1] [2] [3]. The Qara Qoyunlu and Aq Qoyunlu were Turkoman (literally mentioned in their article with WP:RS), not "Azerbaijani". HistoryofIran (talk) 14:44, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
