Hello, Chris Connor, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you. ~Matticus TC 22:52, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article is intended to be informative regarding the history of connor plumbing. I removed the contact info. Is this ok?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris Connor (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia has clear, established guidelines on notability for businesses (WP:CORP). While you did take steps to change the article from an outright advertisement, I don't believe it would have met these guidelines for notability (and also the even-more-important verifiability and original research requirements, demanding that information in articles be sourced from reliable third-party sources, not "first hand"), so would have been deleted under those criteria instead. I should thank you for at least handling the issue in a sensible, level-headed manner; no small percentage of newcomers whose first articles get tagged for deletion resort to repeatedly removing the maintenance tags, insulting the people who raised those issues, or make "sockpuppet" accounts to create the false impression of support for the article! Please don't let this put you off future contributions to Wikipedia - there is always room for improvement somewhere, so take a look through the guides linked in the welcome message below, find a subject that interests you and improve it! ~Matticus TC 23:43, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
