Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

We are glad to have you here and happy o see you already making edits, however as you have been editing what appears to be your father's page you have been compromising the neutrality of the article. Terry Gibson has had an amazing career but not without some losses it is our job to reflect his entire story. Also I am sure you know many things that about Terry Gibson that Wikipedia does not. However you can not add those things unless they have been published by a third source. We would love to see you stick around but certain things we can't tolerate without hurting Wikipedia as a whole. I recommend that you go read up on the five pillars of Wikipedia Wikipedia:Five pillars and the general rules for making edits Wikipedia:Introduction. If you have any questions don't hesitate to drop me a line at my talk page. Drewerd (talk) 23:40, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Terry Gibson, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Terry Gibson. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. | Uncle Milty | talk | 16:49, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Terry Gibson, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please stop removing content only because you feel it is "unnecessary", and stop removing the disambiguation link at the top of the page. | Uncle Milty | talk | 23:30, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
