Rhythmic gymnasts at the 2024 Olympic Games

[edit]

Hi, I wanted to talk to you about your edits on List of gymnasts at the 2024 Summer Olympics. As you noted, all of the Olympic spots have been allocated, but the rhythmic gymnastics spots won at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships are non-nominative spots. What this means is that the spot is allocated to the National Olympic Committee (NOC), and they can send any gymnast they want. Meanwhile, the spots won at the continental championships are nominative spots, meaning they belong to the gymnast and not the NOC. While the gymnasts you have listed may be the most likely to be selected for the non-nominative spots, we will not put them into the article until they are the confirmed names. NOCs have until 8 July to officially select their athletes (see the last page of the qualification document). At that point we will officially know who will compete. That's why we have been keeping TBA in the other sports for non-nominative and team spots unless the country has released who they will send. Riley1012 (talk) 16:30, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
