April 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Dry-ice blasting. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Andy Dingley (talk) 18:22, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Andy Dingley. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Dry-ice blasting have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Dry-ice blasting, you may be blocked from editing. shoy (reactions) 18:32, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not trying to be disruptive. We sell a dry ice machine and deserve a spot on this page just like Cold jet? Every time we try to add even the smallest bit of text it's deleted.

But you've managed to be so. You could have discussed this early on, and found some reasonable form of words which improved the article, and explained the relevance of non-dry ice machines (as you kept promoting) to an article on dry ice machines. But you chose to ignore that and just went on bulk-pasting anyway. So now you've lost any patience with other editors and most of them will just be hoping for one more edit, to justify an indef block as a promotion-only account, blacklisting your site so it can't be added anywhere, and then walking away from the whole lot because what we most want is a quiet life. Do you also work for Cold Jet? I'm not a professional wikipedia editor, just someone trying to get on wikipedia.
