I’m sorry about that, I didn’t think that sources were needed if the article listed the genre of the category already Category adder (talk) 01:14, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 27

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Steelheart, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page She's Gone (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

September 2020

Information icon Hello, I'm FlightTime. Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Photograph (Def Leppard song) even if you provide a/some source(s), you'll still need to start a discussion on the article talk page to allow editors who regular watch that page a chance to discuss the reliability of the source(s) you provided. One reason is, genre sources can easily be considered an opinion and not fact. Genre's are a touchy subject here on Wikipedia and without discussion/consensus, regardless of your source(s), your addition or removal will most likely be reverted. Your edit has been reverted and archived in the page history for now.

Unsourced genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive.

Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 03:05, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

January 2021 - List of glam metal bands and artists

Given your talk page history, it's not surprising finding out you like messing around with others contributions... Obviously, you're NOT well versed into the 'Glam Metal' genre, for if you were a coherent fan, you would've never deleted the Aldo Nova ('Blood on the bricks' era), Saints & Sinners (heavy metal band) and Dirty Rhythm entries after hearing their songs. Now, if you just like editing Wikipedia pages, YOU MAY AS WELL EDIT THE INFOBOXES ON THEIR OWN PAGES WHERE IT CLEARLY STATE THEY BELONG TO THE GLAM METAL GENRE you wiseguy...

Last but not least, I'm a fan of Aerosmith (I won a Les Paul guitar autographed by the band back in 1994), and I tell you: As much as you want them to be, they're not Glam Metal/Hair Metal. Period. It's evident you didn't even care to read the interview with Jimmy Crespo I referenced... Lemme quote him here for you:

"I went from being in huge band like Aerosmith to being tossed into a world of 80’s rock. You know the big hair and striped pants, and all the glamour, which I’m not and Aerosmith wasn’t. Aerosmith may have influenced those bands, but they were not one of them."

So neither Jimmy Crespo nor any other Aerosmith member nor me really care if the New York Times, the Sunday Times, or any other category adder say it is. THEY AREN'T. — Preceding unsigned comment added by V°cc (talkcontribs) 19:13, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
