Hi - I'm afraid I've reverted your edit. First, that wasn't mentioned in the article, so it really shouldn't be in the lead/lede WP:LEAD which is a summary of the article. Secondly, it wasn't referenced. We can't use other Wikipedia articles as references. You're welcome to add something to the main body of the article, see WP:RS for the sort of sources we want and look at the way other sources are cited for the citation style for the article. Thanks. File:Machine double chain stitch.jpg needs authorship information.[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Machine double chain stitch.jpg is missing information as to its authorship (and or source) , or if such information is provided it is confusing.

Although images may not need author information in un-controversial cases, or where an applicable source is provided, such information aids those making use of the image, and helps verify the copyright status of an image.

If possible, please consider updating the media information page to make the authorship (and or source) of this media clearer.

If the media is your own work, please consider explicitly including your user name or using the {{own}} template on the media information page.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:59, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Machine basic chain stitch.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Machine basic chain stitch.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:04, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Merrow 70-D3B-2 sample 2.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Merrow 70-D3B-2 sample 2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Calendar date, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Double (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deleting files[edit]

In order to delete a file, you need to go to WP:FFD and request the file be deleted. The procedure to delete a file is itemized there. In your welcome message, there's also a {{helpme}} which you could add to your talk page in a new section to ask how to delete a file. -- 65.92.181.39 (talk) 06:12, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Consew 255RBATCL(E)-1 Walking Foot.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
