Where I need your help I'm blocked, My brother was on wikipedia for like five minutes I log in and I'm blocked Help Me now.

No need to prove it; I'll trust you :). You should be unblocked now, if I did this right. Your brother was blocked until the 17th since he was making severe personal attacks with obscene language, thus breaching NPA. If your brother does log into this account again, then I will have no choice but to block it because of Wikipedia policy. Thus, I would recommend that you change your password. Anyhow, sorry about all of this trouble. In any case, now that you can edit, I would like to take this time to welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! -- Where 17:25, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Album cover[edit]

You said: "I hear your great at pictures and I was wondering could you upload the image for me. The website link is [1]. Can you save it as whatever and upload it for me. It is the album cover of a new Lil' Kim album. Please, thanks friend"

This isn't an album cov.[edit]

This does not seem to be an album cover. Can you please provide some evidence of this? If you can, I'll be happy to upload it for you. --Yamla 22:33, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Response[edit]

Yes well its kind of hard to explain because you might not believe me. Well I took a picture from a Lil' Kim mini-site that was created back in 05. I took the picture and emailed it to my cousin because he also knows how to upload pictures. Well then after that it was stored on his computer but he never sent it to me. The website stated in April 2006 its last update that this will be the new album cover for the re-release of the naked truth, knowing me trhe biggest Lil' Kim fan I wanted to post on her album cover. But I recently saw it on the internet and I was amzed how long it had been since I saw that. I was about to upload it but I remembered because my Brother told me that Yamla is good at pictures. So I asked you to upload it because I have no clue how to, thanks. It was also on Lil' KimZone.com before they changed up the website. If you go know you will not find it becuase the site was changed up a lil' bit. Thank You --Shinemygrillz 22:43, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it doesn't look like an album cover as it is missing the parent advisory warning and the album name. I'm not saying you are wrong, only that you'll need to cite this information anyway, and with a reliable source. If you can find, say, an article in a major magazine that shows that this is the cover of the re-release, I'll be happy to upload it. Just let me know. --Yamla 23:00, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My response[edit]

You said: "Yamla I wasn't a new album cover, the message about that being should it be a album cover was only a poll. Which 52% said no. so it was cancelled. So can you upload it Im just going to make it a regular picture. Shinemygrillz 01:33, 15 July 2006 (UTC) Leave me a new message when you get this."[reply]

Okay, but what license are you planning on using? This is a copyrighted image, we can't just use it because it is a good picture. I'm not aware of any fair-use rationale for this image. That is to say, I don't believe we can legally use this picture. --Yamla 02:48, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PIc of the Day[edit]

I'll use this for my user page to give it a "spice up". I'm going to picures of all my fvorite celebs. on it. I think it shall be I don't know the license.Shinemygrillz 14:45, 15 July 2006 (UTC) Thanks[reply]

You cannot use photos of celebrities on your userpage; it violates Fair User. --JD[don't talk|email] 14:46, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, you cannot use any copyrighted images (via fair-use) on your user page. By default, you should assume all images are copyrighted unless you can prove otherwise. --Yamla 14:51, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is it copyright[edit]

How do you know if it is copyright or not. Shinemygrillz 14:56, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you didn't take or create the image yourself, it's most likely copyrighted. --JD[don't talk|email] 14:57, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

==Can U?

What about...., well can you find an uncopyrighted image of Lil' Kim that has is no album covers. Shinemygrillz 14:58, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's very unlikely that you will find an uncopyrighted image; anything and everything should automatically be assumed to be copyrighted, unless otherwise stated. --JD[don't talk|email] 15:00, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

U[edit]

No, I asked can you, because I'm a rookie at putting Images on. Shinemygrillz 15:02, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not going to search for an image for you. If you want an image, look for it yourself. But don't upload it onto Wikipedia if it's going to be used for your userpage, unless you can prove that it doesn't have a copyright that contraindicates its usage on a userpage. --JD[don't talk|email] 15:03, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I need help[edit]

I don't know how can I give you a URl and then check if it is copyrighted and then let you upload it, please I need help. :( Shinemygrillz 15:07, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you have a web address, post it on this page. --JD[don't talk|email] 15:09, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

from yamla[edit]

Here it is [2]
I don't think that would even qualify for Fair Use, let alone your userpage. --JD[don't talk|email] 15:17, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More responses[edit]

Note that that image is most definitely copyrighted. --Yamla 15:19, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Note Can you (Yamla) search for one for me. I'd really like to use images for pictures of the day. Shinemygrillz 15:22, 15 July 2006 (UTC) Respond ASAP[reply]
I am not aware of any that are not copyrighted, sorry. --Yamla 17:08, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's OK Yamla, Just tell me how I can put a picture of the day on my page. Because I have just torn my page up and put it pack together check it out. [3] Thanks and Leave me as new message in your response. Shinemygrillz 17:18, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:Images for how to upload images. Specifically, Wikipedia:Uploading images. --Yamla 17:20, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

I took the liberty of removing your name from your user page. Please feel free to add it back after you have considered the privacy issues. As a general rule, Wikipedia frowns on underage users including contact information on the Wikipedia. Assuming you really are 17, however, I'm sure you are quite capable of deciding whether to include your name. If you are actually 12, I beg you to please not replace your name without first discussing it with a parent. It makes no difference to me if you are 12 or 17, you are welcome here regardless, my concern is only for your privacy. In summary: You are welcome to replace your name on your user page but please make sure you have thought through the consequences first. --Yamla 17:19, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use images[edit]

Please refrain from using images on your userpage that are on Wikipedia under fair use licenses. If they are in the userspace, fair use cannot be claimed on the images. Thanks. --JD[don't talk|email] 22:10, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can U eplain to me what is userspace --Shinemygrillz 22:13, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This here, and any page that begins with User: or User talk:, is userspace. These are the pages that users can use to do whatever they want with, within reason, and as long as it's within Wikipedia guidelines and policy. You can make your own sandboxes here, or subpages, but you can't use fair use images. --JD[don't talk|email] 22:15, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Lil Kim[edit]

Try reading my response, that inmate record I linked is her. Also, I'm not sure where you got the impression that you have some sort of authority over other editors, but I assure you that I do no have to stop because you told me to. I'm also going to ask you nicely one last time to stop accusing me of vandalism every time I make an edit. Brush up on what vandalism is, which does not include content disputes between editors.--Fallout boy 02:40, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Show preview button[edit]

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --JD[don't talk|email] 02:53, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme[edit]

I'd Like To Know How Do I Count My Edits and when is the most reccomended for me to become an administrator. Shinemygrillz 17:22, 17 July 2006 (UTC) Thanks[reply]

You can count your edits by clicking this link. As for adminship, you might want to read WP:RFA, and see what kind of standards you'd have to work to, and what kind of people admins make. --JD[don't talk|email] 17:32, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My brother "Shakim67" has wished to be deleted from wikipedia. He says "That this is no fun even if he is unblocked. :( So adminastrators can delete the account. it is not used anymore. --Shinemygrillz 17:51, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Accounts are never deleted, simply stop using it. --pgk(talk) 17:53, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK. --Shinemygrillz 17:54, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the material that you recently added to the Simpsons as I believe it was unnecessary to have it. If you believe it should still be added please bring up the discussion on the talk page or feel free to contact me. --WillMak050389 18:21, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

My bro got on the computer to see if he is blocked and now I am blocked. What happened to me, I thought I was unblocked can someone talk to User:Where

Where is on holiday or something, and he won't be back until Friday, if he isn't late back from wherever he is. You could ask another admin though. Try using the {{unblock}} template. --JD[don't talk|<sub

I'm unblocked Now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyy --Shinemygrillz 03:21, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You need to give a reason... Type {{unblock|reason goes here}}. --JD[don't talk|email] 00:06, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm looking into this. You have never been blocked; however, your IP may be blocked due to collateral damage, and if that's the case I'm trying to find the collateral block now. This may take a bit, though. Kelly Martin (talk) 03:19, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme[edit]

What do you need help with? --JD[don't talk|email] 01:32, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Noone is helping me. I need to be unblocked. Why am I blocked can you look into the story for me. This is totally unacceptable.
Admins work voluntarily, and your right to edit Wikipedia is a privilege. You can't expect everybody to come and help you when you place a {{helpme}} tag on your page. I asked an admin about your block, and they said that you've not been blocked, but you have been affected by an auto IP block. The admin I asked can't do anything about this, as she couldn't see any blocks in the block log. --JD[don't talk|email] 01:39, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well then can you protect my account from the autoblock. --Shinemygrillz 01:42, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I can't do anything of the sort - I'm not an admin. I've already asked a sysop, and they said they couldn't do anything about it. If you want, I could try asking another, but I'm not making any promises. --JD[don't talk|email] 01:46, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You Know what Shakim67 was supposed to be unblocked to day and that is yet to happen. Can someone explain that to me. I'm autoblocked does anyone know Blguyen. Come on this is dissapointing. If I'm not unblocked soon I'm taking a permanent vacation from all Wiki-Projects. Including wikipedia.

RE:Helpme request[edit]

The helpme request template is not to be used to attract users attention to get you unblocked. Many of the users that respond are not administrators. You already have the unblock template in place. An admin will decide the block either continues or gets removed. Posting the helpme template on your page will not facilitate that. ViridaeTalk 03:17, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK Guys The autoblock somehow expired and now I can edit Hallelujah. Just Kidding But thanks for all your help. --Shinemygrillz 17:04, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{{protected}} tag[edit]

Please don't use the protected tag; it doesn't actually protect the article. Only an admin can do that. The tag is only there to inform people that an article is protected. Thanks. --JD[don't talk|email] 18:11, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did that because people are constantly changing and inflating the article with false facts. --Shinemygrillz 18:13, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I can understand why you used the tag, but it doesn't actually protect the article. Anybody can still edit it if you put that tag into the article, because the tag doesn't affect peoples' ability to edit it. If you're really concerned about the stated age of Kim, you should discuss it on the talk page. Wikipedia has policies against reverting an article more than three times, and given your past problems with being blocked, it would probably be a good idea if you tried to avoid violating the policy. You can read about that at WP:3RR, if you're interested. --JD[don't talk|email] 18:16, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Awards[edit]

You said: "I've created almost 40 articles. Is there anyway that I can receive an award."

There's no central award-giving authority. People will sometimes grant you an award just because they like you, or because you did particularly good work on one particular article. I have over twelve thousand edits and I am not even sure I've ever got an award, though I think I got one or two barnstars a few months ago. I'm obviously not the best person to ask about awards, then.  :) --Yamla 20:34, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You said: "Whom would you recommend I talk to?"
Sorry, I'm not sure of anyone off the top of my head. --Yamla 20:52, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Signature length[edit]

Hi, please consider shortening your signature; it is quite long. Please read WP:SIG#Length for more information. Thanks. --JD[don't talk|email] 01:51, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

internet explorer

I need more information than that. What operating system are you using; and what version of Internet Explorer are you using? You can find out the version of Internet Explorer by clicking Help, then About. --JD[don't talk|email] 03:24, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Microsoft what? There's quite a few Microsoft operating systems. Are you using Windows XP, Windows 2000, Me, 98, or 95? And it would still help if I knew the version number of Internet Explorer. --JD[don't talk|email] 03:29, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Windows XP and I am using Gateway. I'm sorry i was confused and I put Compaq. --40 cal:Lil' Scrappie [I ain't playin] Talkin it and spittin blood That's right what you gone do know im da ultimate hustla yall aint nobody im da first king 03:31, 19 July 2006 (UTC).
You still haven't told me what version of IE you're using, but I'm going to assume you're using Internet Explorer 6. It doesn't flash in my Internet Explorer either, but it does in Firefox. I don't suppose you'd be interested in getting a new browser if you don't already have it. If you don't, then you're going to have to go for a plain and simple signature. --JD[don't talk|email] 03:34, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One more thing about your signature. I'm not sure what the general rule of thumb is for signatures, but it usually signifies you. Your signature will be very confusing for people looking at your edits. I'd suggest something that uses your name and links to your talk page. --Diehard2k5 | Talk 22:59, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Can I?[edit]

The Counter Vandalism Unit is not something that you can "join". Rather, it is essentially just a set of guidelines for members who are interested in regularly controlling vandalism. If you are already reverting vandalism, then you are already a part of it, and can put the Userbox on your user page. Chairman S. TalkContribs 06:46, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor Edits[edit]

Remember to mark your edits as minor only when they genuinely are (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). You aren't an administrator, and you shouldn't be trying to impersonate one. You can't "file three-hour blocks" against anybody. --JD[don't talk|email] 20:57, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Being able to report it, and claiming to be above admins, are two different things. You are currently involved in a revert war, and if you continue, you might be the one that ends up being blocked. --JD[don't talk|email] 21:12, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I Think its best if we just stop communicating and just get along. --I'm da Pimp ho you think u is yall aint nothin 21:16, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS This is not an apology.

I wasn't under the impression that we weren't getting along. I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to contribute to Wikipedia and remain professional. Anything that I say to you is not said because I like or dislike you; it's said to you because I feel it needs to be said. --JD[don't talk|email] 21:22, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, it is time for your joking to end. You are potentially offending people, both here in the Wikipedia community and the wider readership. What you are doing could be seen as vandalism and you could get blocked from editing Wikipedia for it. You might not get another warning before having a block imposed, so be careful and be serious from now on.

No, it's not that, it's refusing to change the signature after 4 people said to, having an inappropriate one at that, and using Netspeak on talk pages. That is what that is for. [wossi] 21:27, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop threatening to block people[edit]

In response to your "warning", I would like to remind you that you do not have the ability to block people, nor will you be able to coerce any administrator to block people because they make sourced and verifiable edits you disagree with.--Fallout boy 23:03, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Look I said the person that continues to inflate her sales and change her Birthdate I'm gonna change it to I'll report it. Why do you change the Lil' Kim article everyday. Because I'm a fan of hers and I know a lot of things about her. --I'm da Pimp ho you think u is yall aint nothin 00:34, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If Fallout boy wouldn't mind my commenting on the situation, you did not say in the warning that you were going to report people. You said that you were going to block them. You also said to me that you would place a report on WP:AIV if you did. AIV is not for edit wars; it is for vandalism. An edit war is something that should be sorted out on the talk page of the article. Fallout boy has provided a source that I consider to be more reliable than any other source, because the source is that of a federal institution (correct me if I'm wrong). If you still believe this is incorrect, you need to provide proof that is more reliable than what Fallout boy provided. Being a fan, and claiming to know a lot about the person that you are a fan of, is not grounds to engage in an edit war. --JD[don't talk|email] 00:59, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How I Can't Change My Signature Because My Layout Was Changed. How Can I Fix It?

--I'm da Pimp ho you think u is yall aint nothin 19:11, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What's wrong with your keyboard layout? I've seen you use each of the 26 letters of the alphabet all over Wikipedia, so I don't see how anything can be wrong with your keyboard. --JD[don't talk|email] 19:13, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not talking about my keyboard, like my account wikipedia layout. When I'm not logged In It Looks normal but when I log in everything is switched around. I don't know what's wrong. --I'm da Pimp ho you think u is yall aint nothin 19:22, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It sounds as though you've changed the skin. In your preferences, click Skins, and select Monobook. When you've saved them, you'll have to hold Ctrl and press F5, to refresh your page. That should help/ --JD[don't talk|email] 19:46, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there anyway I can pay you back. --I'm da Pimp ho you think u is yall aint nothin 19:53, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
lol no need to go over the top about it. But you still might want to change your signature to something a bit less fan-like. I could make you something basic if you want; something like mine maybe? It's not really that much of a problem if you keep it the way it is now, but it could be heaps better. --JD[don't talk|email] 20:10, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's that funny. You my homedogg tho I wish you could see how hard it was to edit. But thank you and I shortened my signature. --So Fresh and So Clean 21:21, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow you guys are fast. Well I'd Like to know how do you create userboxes. --So Fresh and So Clean 05:43, 22 July 2006 (UTC) PS I see people personally create them and I'd like to?[reply]
If you're thinking of making your own userboxes, it's normally easier to just copy off one that's already there, and just change it to how you want it. If you're making userboxes just for you, you should save them in your userspace. --JD[don't talk|email] 05:51, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To make your own userboxes, go to Template:Userbox and check Template talk:Userbox on how to use the template. Depending on the content of your userbox, it may not be able to be used for the Template name space. I would suggest making it as a usersubpage. To learn how to do that, go to Wikipedia:Subpage. When you want to transclude it, you will have to use the following syntax: {{User:Shinemygrillz/(whatever the name of the subpage is)}}. Many users tend to make a subpage for Userbox making, and then they make subpages through that, as well. Ryūlóng 05:55, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Little Brother wanted to get on Wikipedia because his two week block had expired. He wants to leave certain people messages but he can't because it's blocked can someone unblock his page?
Is he able to edit other pages on Wikipedia? If he needs to test this, tell him to go to WP:SB, or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sandbox --JD[don't talk|email] 00:32, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll have to log out for him. PS Yes he can edit? What to do know --So Fresh and So Clean 00:34, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If he's able to edit, he's not blocked from editing Wikipedia. However, his talk page has been protected from editing; I can't edit myself. An admin would have to remove the protection; I'll ask about that now for you. But if your brother is able to edit Wikipedia, his inability to edit his talk page shouldn't cause any major problems for a short while. --JD[don't talk|email] 00:38, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How come U Can't edit? All Man, My Hommie Blocked. --So Fresh and So Clean 00:39, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm able to edit unprotected pages, but administrators can protect a page - stop people from editing it - if they feel it's necessary to. I've asked an admin, and they're looking into getting your brother's talk page unprotected; but he should be able to edit the rest of Wikipedia if you said he is unblocked now. I'll get back to you about your brother's talk page when there's more information for you. --JD[don't talk|email] 00:43, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Your brother's talk page has been unprotected; he should be able to edit it now. --JD[don't talk|email] 00:51, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Upload[edit]

Before I upload the image for you, I need to ask what it would be used for. It can't be uploaded unless fair use covers its usage on Wikipedia; or unless it has a license that says you are allowed to use the image. --JD[don't talk|email] 01:49, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I Need It To Be Uploaded Because I am creating a separate article about Aaliyah's death. --So Fresh and So Clean 01:50, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll look into uploading the image; I need to see if it can be uploaded first. But either way, I'll tell you. As for the separate article, do you have enough content for a new article; or would the information be fine on the Aaliyah article? It wouldn't hurt to expand that section if you can; and any images that are uploaded can still be inserted in the section if you did. Anyway, I'll look into that image for you now. --JD[don't talk|email] 01:54, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Plenty[edit]

I have plenty of references and more than enough content. --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me 01:56, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not clear what licensing the images use, but as there is an option on that website to e-mail the website owner, I'll ask them what licensing the image uses; and if we can have permission to use it on Wikipedia. --JD[don't talk|email] 02:03, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How Long?[edit]

How Long Do You Think it will take. --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me 02:05, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS Anymore than an hour.

Unfortunately, the e-mail I sent bounced, so I can't get permission to use that image. If you can find images that are released into the public domain, or are under a license that allows for them to be used on Wikipedia, they can be used no problem; but wihtout the permission of the owner of that particular image, we can't do anything. I will do a bit of light searching for a free equivalent, but I can't make any promises. In the meantime, if you haven't already, I'd suggest you start this article that you want to make, as it would still be a good article without imagery. I'll get back to you soon. --JD[don't talk|email] 02:13, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
O'Right I Guess I'll Use A Regular Image Of Aaliyah. --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me
Sorry, it's not freeuse. See Wikipedia:Images. If you get permission from the creator, you may use a permissionfromcreator tag or something. [wossi] 02:20, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1000 edits? 708 edits?[edit]

You have a userbox that boasts 1000+ edits. However...

This tool says you have 708. Please, remove the userbox. GofG ||| Contribs 02:30, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thats Not your business, eventually by the end of the week I will have 1,000 edits. --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me 02:32, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't take that with hostility :D... I meant no offense. Could you please, though, remove the userbox until that time? GofG ||| Contribs 02:34, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'm not getting offensive I'm just saying. I apologize for the sudden attitude. Can you create me a userbox that says "This User has nearly 1000 edits". --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me 02:37, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was just passing by & I saw your request. I created a userbox for you called {{User:Shinemygrillz/User Edits}} You can use this userbox by adding {{User:Shinemygrillz/User Edits|nnn}} to your userpage, replacing nnn with the number of edits you have exceeded. For example, if you have 708 edits, you might use {{User:Shinemygrillz/User Edits|700}}. I placed it on your userpage, and, as your edit count increases, you can just change the number & the userbox will change automatically. If you want to see how the userbox works, you can look at it here. Cheers! --Ssbohio 14:32, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Two Guys Just left some strange messages. Hi I'd like to know by the time I become an admin. (10-15 weeks) Can I create another account then a few months later murge the edit counts together? --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me 14:42, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so. Besides, the goal isn't to focus on edits :) GofG ||| Contribs 14:45, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have another question. I'd like to know what is an adminship? --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me 14:47, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I believe this page should give you a fairly good rundown of what an administrator is. Also, I must say that you are probably not suited for adminship. Most of the people who vote have certain requirements that you do not meet, nor will meet in 10-15 weeks. GofG ||| Contribs 14:52, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
would time do you think I'll become an admin? --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me 14:55, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Generally, if you work at it another year or so, you'll probably be respected around the community enough to become an admin. It might be longer though, as some voters require 2 years. GofG ||| Contribs 15:00, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK But requirments can't i fufill in 10-15 weeks. Which is around 5 months.
In 5 months you will be 6 months old on Wikipedia. That is not enough time to get to know all the things there are to know. Not only that, but administrators often do some antivandalism work in the IRC channels or using Crypt's antivandal program, something I believe you have done thing of. In addition to that, you are not taking into consideration that not only are number of edits considered in a request for adminship, but time spent at Wikipedia, which is something you don't have. GofG ||| Contribs 15:18, 23 July 2006

What are you saying[edit]

Your saying I have to have like 6,000 edits and stay here for like 1 year or more to become a sysop. --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me

Most administrators have at least 2000+ edits and have been using Wikipedia for around a year, yes. The goal of wikipedia is not to become a sysop, and please do not view it that way. The goal of wikipedia is to create an encyclopedia. GofG ||| Contribs 15:23, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The only reason I want to become an admin. is because people just barge in and just don't give a care and just walk all over me. --So Fresh and So Clean_Wish U Was Me
I seriously doubt it... But you must understand, there are only so many administrators and good users, and they don't have time to deal with every single individual person. GofG ||| Contribs 15:30, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If he might get blocked, tell him not to do whatever it is he's going to do that'll get him blocked. You can't change your IP, because it is determined by your ISP; not Wikipedia. --JD[don't talk|email] 18:26, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
