I was just trying to provide the correct Russian Imperal coat of arms including the 1856-1883 one that I posted and I would like to bring back some of the coat of arms suggestions like the 1710-1730 version and the 1856-1883 version. CTGonYT (talk) 01:46, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CTGonYT, we're not being sensitive. Wikipedia articles should not just be indiscriminate galleries of photographs. Additionally, as @C.Fred noted above, it appears that the images you're adding aren't backed up by reliable sources. voorts (talk/contributions) 19:02, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody is stopping you from doing that, but if the only source you have is images you yourself uploaded to Commons, then I think your edits will be reverted for lack of reliable sources. voorts (talk/contributions) 19:11, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Where did you get the images originally? Also, there are already images on Wikimedia Commons that are in the Coat of arms of Russia article. What about them is incorrect? That means you should include an inline citation to a reliable source. If you start changing images around based on what you believe is the truth based on unspecified sources from the internet that no longer exist, it is not just likely that you will be blocked, but almost certain. The source you cited above is a YouTube video that itself doesn't cite any sources. YouTube is not a reliable source, which is what we require for information to be verified so that it can be added to Wikipedia. voorts (talk/contributions) 19:05, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
