March 2024[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Raymond Arroyo. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. JustarandomamericanALT (talk) 18:44, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Heyallkatehere. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Raymond Arroyo seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Heyallkatehere (talk) 18:51, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The edit I made addressed posts that are by YOUR definition "less than neutral" and are absolutely opinion and out of context. Not sure how you can say my edit is "less than neutral" by comparison. CDavidE08 (talk) 19:17, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Raymond Arroyo, you may be blocked from editing. You cannot remove the cited opinion of a secondary source because it is "defamatory". Doing so is tendentious editing. JustarandomamericanALT (talk) 18:53, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Raymond Arroyo. JustarandomamericanALT (talk) 19:07, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You DO realize that the part that my edits address in no way are "neutral" as you seem to require. I also have to wonder why YOU seem rather married to these slanted and very biased choices of quotes and opinions you seem bent on featuring. CDavidE08 (talk) 19:13, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You've mentioned that the remarks have been taken out of context. By those commenting (The View, etc.)? By Wikipedia editors? What is the context you think is missing? signed, Willondon (talk) 19:17, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The cited opinions of a reliable source may be stated in an article, and doing so is usually neutral. You can do 1 of the following:
  1. Add another opinion of a reliable source contrary to the other, or
  2. try to come to a consensus with me, based on Wikipedia policy. In addition, what context is missing, as asked above? JustarandomamericanALT (talk) 19:18, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah I see...so are you also judge and jury of "reliable source contrary to the other"? Just as you seem to be sole judge and jury of "neutral"? Just curious. CDavidE08 (talk) 19:20, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, I am not. I am not "sole judge and jury" of anything. The community is the final determiner of article content. If you would like to go to the talk page of the article or add another opinion, this can be resolved. JustarandomamericanALT (talk) 19:24, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you are NOT the sole judge and jury, then why are YOU the ONE with whom I'm having to deal? Who is part of this COMMUNITY about which you speak? A star chamber of two, three, four, sixteen, twenty, two thousand? You all certainly have quick meetings and hand down quick, almost instant decisions. Pretty unusual for anything run by a committee/community. CDavidE08 (talk) 19:27, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing the article about Raymond Arroyo directly, to prevent further edit warring. The block automatically expires after a year. It would normally not have an automatic expiry date ("indefinite"), but indefinite one-page blocks can be tough to impossible to appeal, and the automatic expiration is meant as a way back to a non-blocked account that doesn't require writing an unblock request.
You had already been blocked for the same behavior on the same page with a previous account.
The block does not prevent you from making useful edits to any other page, and it does not prevent you from discussing the matter at Talk:Raymond Arroyo, nor from making an edit request there using the {{edit partially-blocked}} template.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked earlier, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:39, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
