"Diary of the season"[edit]

The debate is not about whether or not those events actually took place. However, you have not provided any sources for the entries you provided, so how can they be verified? It is up to you to provide sources, not the reader to go searching for them. Furthermore, how do you decide which events are notable enough to be included in these "diaries"? What are your inclusion criteria? Please discuss this before re-adding the sections to the articles. – PeeJay 15:48, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have only selected events such as player transfers, deaths of former players and managers, long-term injuries to key players, and high profile matches as events notable enough for inclusion in the diary. These are surely notable enough for inclusion, so it's not as though I'm listing the arrival of youth players who went on to spend a few seasons in the reserves and left sinking into obscurity without playing a first team game, or a short-term injury to a youth player, or a bore-draw friendly which few people will have heard of. OK, that makes sense. I would request that we discuss this with the rest of the Manchester United task force over at WT:MUFC before re-adding the sections. – PeeJay 21:38, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
