Hello, Bresaxs, and welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Super Request, has been tagged for speedy deletion because its content is clearly written to promote a company, product, or service. This article may have been deleted by the time you see this message. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service. Thank you. STOP SPAMMING OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED. THANK YOU. Mak (talk) 03:17, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

Thought I would let you know that I noticed you have been blocked, but don't think it was warranted. I'm discussing it with the blocking admin on your behalf. While blocked, you can still edit this page, so if you have any comments you can leave them here. -- Chuq 04:55, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Chuq,

I'm sorry for any spamming or vandalism I may have done. I am an avid listener of Triple J and provide playlists of many of their shows. I was just creating articles that I thought were needed.

Yours sincerely,

Bresaxs

Unblocked[edit]

Hi Bresaxs, I have unblocked your account, so you are able to edit pages again. To avoid getting blocked again, I have a couple of suggestions for you:

  1. Take a look at the Help link on the left hand side of the screen. It contains useful information about how to write and format Wikipedia articles, what sort of articles are suitable, and other tips.
  2. Please pay attention to any messages that you receive on this page (when someone edits this page you will get a "you have new messages" notice at the top of your screen). If they mention spam or vandalism and you aren't sure what they mean, discuss it with the user who posted it first. The admin who blocked you isn't from Australia and so is not aware of the size or scope of Triple J, and when he left messages here and you didn't say anything, he assumed it was a small local radio station that you were trying to promote.

If you have any other questions you can post them on this page or on my talk page and I try to answer them as soon as I can. If you need a quick response you can write {{helpme}} on your page and someone will come here to help you. Regards, -- Chuq 05:28, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

I notice no one has given you a formal welcome message, so here you go:

Welcome! (We can't say that loudly enough!)[edit]

Here are a few links you might find helpful:

You can sign your name on talk pages and votes by typing ~~~~; our software automatically converts it to your username and the date.

If you have any questions or problems, no matter what they are, leave me a message on my talk page. Or, please come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

We're so glad you're here!

P.S. I notice you've had a rough start, just ask me if you've any questions. ;-) Kavadi carrier 07:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article John Walter (actor), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. I have cleaned up the article to make it clearer what it is, add more context, and remove the prod tag. -- Chuq 20:17, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Bresaxs! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 901 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Vijay Khurana - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Trent Sullivan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Notice

The article Kate O'Toole (radio presenter) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:BIO or WP:JOURNALIST. Almost all the sources I found are from her employer ABC.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
