Welcome, follow up[edit]

Greetings, @Bored1995!:. I am sorry that your initial contributions to Wikipedia resulted in a block. However, I appreciate your additions to the article about the US occupation of the DR (16-24). I welcome your interest and continued participation in improving this article, but would ask for better sources/reference for your additions (WP:RS) and (WP:HISTRS). I noticed you included some, but they should be more precise (WP:REFB) and you should try to include them for all (WP:REF) --unless the info is already referenced in the article--, and explain your edits with a summary (WP:ES). You may want to follow up with conversations and comments in the article's Talk Page. I am placing a few tags on some of the additions you included hoping you would return and address these issues. Please, let me know how else could I help. Caballero//Historiador 12:36, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edits Comments[edit]

@Bored1995:, Thanks for your contributions. Just a quick note to alert you to the need of providing a detailed explanation of your edits. See here WP:ES. Thanks. Caballero/Historiador 22:40, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 31[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of wars involving the Dominican Republic, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Anglo-Spanish War. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

April 2016 Warnings[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits have been reverted or removed. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Savvyjack23 (talk) 08:32, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May 2016[edit]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you recently removed some content from United States occupation of the Dominican Republic (1916–24)  with this edit, without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:27, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, Bored1995. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your Email[edit]

Hi Bored1995. I got your email. Please let me know what page and comments are a concern to you and I will take a look. If there is a privacy concern you can email the details to me. Also admins don't accept compensation for doing their job, monetary or otherwise. -Ad Orientem (talk) 13:20, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Just to flag here that I have received a similar request, and am replying by email as requested. Others feel free to email me about this or related matters. Andrewa (talk) 22:43, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently you emailed a lot of us. I have absolutely no ability to change an edit history. If you don't want an edit to show up in the history, then don't make the edit in the first place. Doczilla @SUPERHEROLOGIST 06:15, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that heads-up. I suspected that there might be more than just the two of us, that is exactly why I decided to post here rather than just reply by email as requested. Andrewa (talk) 16:57, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps your request might qualify for oversight. See that page for how to request this.

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is User:Bored1995. Andrewa (talk) 17:19, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have sent me an email. I spent a very considerable amount of time looking into the history of the editing which you referred to, checking the relevant policies, and writing you a fairly long email in reply, carefully explaining to you why what you asked for was not possible, and going to some length to express my sympathy and to offer you advice. Perhaps you can imagine how I felt when, after putting all that work into trying to help you, I discovered that you have already made the same request to a number of administrators, and that you were told months ago that what you were asking for was not possible, and that the matter was even subject to a discussion on an administrators' noticeboard, as can be seen at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive951#User:Bored1995. I also note that you asked me in your email not to post to this talk page. I cannot know your motivation, but I cannot help but wonder whether it was to hide from future scrutiny the fact that you have continued with your admin shopping months after your request had been answered multiple times by several administrators. This also raises the question of whether you have in the intervening months been canvassing other administrators in the same way. In order to prevent you from wasting the time of yet further administrators in this way, I am going to remove your email access. Since it is not possible to do that without blocking you from editing, you will also be indefinitely blocked from editing. You may request an unblock by posting {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}at the bottom of this page, replacing the words "your reason here" with an explanation of why you think you should be unblocked. If you do that then my recommendation to any administrator reviewing your unblock request is that it should not be accepted unless you have first removed your email access, which you can do by means of the "preferences" link at the top of the page. Also, if you do that and are unblocked, if you re-enable email you may be blocked again. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:43, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
