Ora[edit]

Somewhere deep in Template:Israeli-Palestinian localities there is a link to Ora, which is a DAB page. I'm guessing that Ora, Israel might be the intended target. Could someone who knows their way around this topic and template help resolve this problem? Narky Blert (talk) 21:38, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sasa[edit]

In the same template, there is a link to the DAB page Sasa. There is more than one possibility for the correct link. Narky Blert (talk) 14:12, 11 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Narky Blert:, I'm trying to understand what this template shows, what's meant by "Israeli-Palestinian localities". Is each entry a Jewish-populated locality in the present State of Israel whose site was previously an Arab-populated locality, prior to Israeli statehood, e.g. in Mandatory Palestine and Ottoman Palestine? If so, is it possible to provide two internal links, one for each page, with piped descriptions? I have an idea to suggest but first need to know the rationale for this template and its terminology. -- Deborahjay (talk) 15:34, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Deborahjay: - it's not my template, and I'm uncertain of its purpose. I came across it while fixing bad links to DAB pages. I don't think it's in use; but if should it be, User:DPL bot will flag multiple errors.
I opened discussions at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Israel#Template:Israeli-Palestinian localities and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Palestine#Template:Israeli-Palestinian localities. There's been some input at WP Israel, so that may be the best place to ask. Yrs, Narky Blert (talk) 16:26, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

98 89 links to DAB pages[edit]

This is the full list of bad links in this template. Narky Blert (talk) 16:34, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(The linked "full list" says "89"... fixed in comment header)
I can identify and edit these manually - in the Module:Israeli-Palestinian localities by choosing "edit" for the Template. Is there a preferred method? The first two I inspected, Evron, Israel and Maghar, Israel, already appeared with an exclusive internal link. User:Bolter21 made some ten fixes on the same date you generated your list of bad links, but the two I checked predated that. Ideally the editor would regenerate the DAB "bad links" list after each round of fixes to see what remained. @Narky Blert:, what do you advise? -- Deborahjay (talk) 12:44, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yellow[edit]

The links of Rehaniya and Kfar Kama are yellow, but that color is not in the legend. Debresser (talk) 18:37, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Both are Circessian villages.--Bolter21 (talk to me) 15:39, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Loyalties? Allegiances? POV?[edit]

What historical content does the wording of the map legend show? Or shall I ask, whose agenda does its language represent?

These points are the most glaring, so I'll pause here for an initial clarification. -- Deborahjay (talk) 16:32, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed that already, I have based this map on Template:Israeli-Palestinian conflict detailed map and I didn't remove the legend.--Bolter21 (talk to me) 16:42, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed - that previous "conflict" map didn't populate the Galilee with Ramallah-administrated "State of Palestine" localities. -- Deborahjay (talk) 18:12, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Or just delete both as unused? --Gonnym (talk) 13:34, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. I don't know how I managed to miss that they were unused. Feel free to start a TfD. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:12, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
