You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride!
- What? Wiki Loves Pride, a campaign to document and photograph LGBT culture and history, including pride events
- When? June 2015
- How can you help?
- 1.) Create or improve LGBT-related articles and showcase the results of your work here
- 2.) Upload photographs or other media related to LGBT culture and history, including pride events, and add images to relevant Wikipedia articles; feel free to create a subpage with a gallery of your images (see examples from last year)
- 3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)
Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. Visit the group's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT+ on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!
If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.
Thanks, and happy editing!
Thanks for any contribution you may be able to make to this year's campaign, Lane! ---Another Believer (Talk) 06:16, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

Howdy! I love the picture of your hamster.
I am new at Wikipedia and want to do a good job.
I have been trying to add a page about the Absolutely Amazing ebook company. I sent in a page and got back the notice that it was rejected because the company needs to be notable to be included.so, in hopes that I can continue here are some reasons I think the company should be included as a Wikipedai entry:
Absolutely Amazing eBooks is a somewhat unique publishing company based in Key West, Florida. A virtual publishing company specializing in ebooks and print-on-demand paperbacks, it reaches readers all over the world. Now in its third year, AAeB has published nearly 300 titles. It has had a number of bestsellers.
Absolutely Amazing eBooks represents established authors as well as discovering many new writers. It is a sister company to the award-winning noir publisher, New Pulp Press.
Absolutely Amazing eBooks was founded by Shirrel Rhoades, a 45-year publishing professional who has held executive positions with Reader’s Digest Books, Scholastic, and Marvel Entertainment. AAeB is NOT a self-publishing activity; nor is it a for-pay Vanity Press. It is a legitimate independent third-party publisher.
Wikipedia has many pages featuring other publishing companies — Random House, Penguin, Harper Collins, Simon and Schuster, etc. We here in Key West are proud to have two successful publishing companies based in the Southernmost City in the United States and would like to see them recognized on Wikipedia.
Well? what do you think? Should I try again and maybe add the list of authors? Help me please. Maybe next time I could send you a picture of the dog I am dog sitting. It will make you smile for sure!

- Hello! The process for judging articles is usually brainless. The policy is at WP:GNG. The easiest way to pass the test is to show 2-3 sources which feature the subject of the Wikipedia article as their own subject. Right now only one source is provided, "Interview with Jenna Stauffer, “Good Morning Florida Keys,” WKYE-TV, Channel 19, summer 2014", and this is not a verifiable reference. Ideal references are described at WP:RS.
- All of the information you provide above is not a consideration in making the judgement. This usually is not subjective - just provide the citations and the article passes. I could answer other questions. Thanks for posting here. Blue Rasberry (talk) 15:22, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
Hello again: Thanks so much for helping me. You said that the easiest way to pass the test for getting an article on Wikipedia is to show 2-3 sources which feature the subject of the Wikipedia article as their own subject - a verifiable reference. Would these work? If so how do I submit them. Sorry to be dense but I am new here. I hope you don't mind helping me.

The Wikipedia review is rather quick and clean and showing just a few passing sources passes everything. Blue Rasberry (talk) 23:29, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
references are still not doing the trick
Hello. Key West Bookworm again. I gathered all the references for Absolutely Amazing Ebooks and resubmitted the article but again was told I needed references. I am at a lost to know what to do. I don't understand how three outside references two by separate magazines and a television interview on Youtube could not be good enough. I have lots of references but just picked those three as you said that three should do it. But sadly, it has not. If you could help by possibly looking through the references I have found and letting me know which three will work I would be so grateful. The ones with stars listed below are actual print references. Please Help! Request
Your input is requested at Talk:Westchester County, New York#Infobox Photomontage. Thanks!--ɱ (talk · vbm) 18:25, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
Bluerasberry, this nomination is currently stalled because you've opened a merge discussion on the article, as is only proper. However, from what I gather from the points you and Matt have made, the merge doesn't appear practical—that while both are called "In silico", they aren't really the same thing.
The original nomination is nearly three months old, and if there isn't a need for further delay, perhaps the merge discussion should be closed. If I've misunderstood, I don't want to short-circuit something important, but I also don't want this hanging on forever with no action. Whatever the next step should be, please take it. Many thanks. Vanishing
I saw that you have some knowledge (maybe and experience) on vanishing accounts. I filled a request yesterday, but there is no any activity/answer on it. Do you know how long it can take? --Dragan (talk) 13:29, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- Cikic.dragan I checked your edit history for this account and did not see anything which seemed like following instructions at Wikipedia:Courtesy vanishing, so perhaps you are talking about another account.
- From the Wikipedia perspective, we probably never have deleted any of the Wikipedia contributions anyone has made. What we do is make it difficult (but not impossible) for people to make a connection between edits and an account name. Most people are satisfied with this outcome. It is done by changing one's username by the "courtesy vanishing" rules. In the last month we massively changed the process for renaming accounts. It should be easier now if you find the process, but some instructions may still be out of date. Rename requests probably take 3-4 days because they take someone's personal attention.
- Sorry for the delay and trouble - we pause in this because we have to take note of copyright of text added by all users, and vanished accounts have to be converted to semi-nameless placeholders for the content they added. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:37, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for your replay. I have 2 accounts - Cikic.dragan and Cikicdragan and want to vanish both.
- I'm confused now. I studied Wikipedia:Courtesy vanishing and conclude that all I need to do is contact English Wikipedia bureaucrats via e-mail. It seems I need to do something more. What is that? --Dragan (talk) 14:56, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- Cikic.dragan Until a month ago, that should have been all that was necessary. I think that is still enough now, but I could be mistaken. I expect that the bureaucrat who replies to you will either handle the issue or direct you further to whatever temporary process we are using if the software is not yet working. These requests are fairly uncommon and still managed by volunteers - I am not sure if eventually these kinds of requests will be managed by paid staff to expedite emergency requests. Blue Rasberry (talk) 15:27, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you. I realize I got into some discontinuity in this process. Do you know whom I should contact regarding this (to be sure)? --Dragan (talk) 15:41, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- Cikic.dragan There is not much hierarchy here, but the 20 or so bureaucrats are perhaps the most vetted and trusted Wikipedia users. If you contacted them already, then I can think of no more certain place to process your request. The bureaucrats will probably turn the task over to the team managing renames. If you want to go above the bureaucrats then I think one step above them is having your legal counsel contact the lawyers at the Wikimedia Foundation. Between the WMF lawyers and the bureaucrats I cannot think of anyone else who might know anything about this. Blue Rasberry (talk) 15:51, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
- ОК. Thank you. I will not go so far. I will wait. :-) --Dragan (talk) 16:01, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Victoria Taylor
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Victoria Taylor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 2601:243:2:37E:C1B0:423C:7DE6:1702 (talk) 19:58, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
