Chris Benoit vandal[edit]

A single warning isn't sufficient. You need to log each instance of vandalism on his discussion page, so the admins can later see that the user was warned multiple times (in other words, showing a history of ignoring vandalism warnings). Hence my adding warnings for WrestleMania 23 and WrestleMania XX. Also, don't get personal when warning a user against vandalism. Your comment on his talk page comes across as an angry threat. Just stay calm, and post uw-vandalism warnings as needed. If he continues, then report him. -FeralDruid 20:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Countdown_50.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Countdown_50.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 15:06, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Read the links in alert message. You need to explain IN DEPTH why use of the image is fair use. ShakespeareFan00 15:38, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joker image[edit]

Re: "The only one complaining is Thuranx. Change it back or i will.BlueShrek 02:36, 30 June 2007 (UTC)"[reply]

Giving people orders does not make anyone inclined to go along with you. If anyone would have supported you, they're unlikely to when you act like that. See WP:CIVIL. Shoester 03:09, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please see the Joker talk page, and revert your change. I'd appreciate you understanding that we'd all like to work towards a new consensus on the issue, but in the meantime, would like to stick to the established, previous consensus so we don't get massvie image warring on the page, and generate a whole bunch of NON Fair Use tagged images to be cleaned up later. Dragon Ball Z FUNimation Season Box Sets[edit]

It is confirmed if you look on the amazon images it reveals the number of episodes and the number of discs. It is a reliable source for release dates and of the like as well as the other sites. The date was listed by many users until you reverted it, I suggest you read the wiki pages on references sources before you declare that that information is unconfirmed. In addition, I used different sites for different information so some may be outdated while other sites may have current info. BrenDJ 00:04, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey BlueShrek, can you please tell me how to provide a source on Wikipedia? I'm new to the website and do not understand what you mean. The sites that I gave references should be the source, right? Please reply back. I checked the websites and saw that they said Season 3 would be released on September 18, 2007. Thanks. User:24.13.92.20 2:04 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Maven Huffman. use the following, just fill in the blanks with the proper information that you have. Make sure you have enough to make sure that the info meets wikipedia's policy regarding verifiability. <ref>{{Citation| last =| first =| author-link =| last2 = |first2 =| author2-link =| title =| newspaper =| pages =| year =| date = | url = }}</ref> also, where it says newspaper, just put the name of the magazine. Your threat on my talk page[edit]

Your threat on my talk page has been reported to an admin. Have a nice day. --Tenebrae 03:09, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk: Tenebrae. Simmer down, please.[edit]

do youre research bro hes harrassing me.BlueShrek 03:31, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide diffs. All I see is you deleting warnings from your talk page, and extremely aggressive posting at User talk:Tenebrae. I gave you the warning because you continued to harrass the other user even after you were warned by Alison. Horologium t-c 03:42, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Excuse me? "get youre facts straight"? All I see here right now is you bothering Tenebrae having been repeatedly warned to stop. Instead, you start taking it to my talk page and to AIV and start being generally disruptive. How about you treat this as a final warning. If you persist in this, you will be blocked from editing - Alison 04:31, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I decided to remove you from AIV, but I have to caution you. All Tenebrae did was tell you to not remove things without providing rationale. Warning vandals[edit]

Hi. You might find using these templates very useful for warning or notifying users or vandals. Also, Twinkle is an excellent script to make this easier for you. Admins will generally only accept an WP:AIV report if the vandal has received fourth-lever (final) or, in some cases, a third-level warning and vandalized after that. Happy editing! —Anas talk? 19:15, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you are sure that the user is a sock puppet, and it is clear enough, and he hasn't been blocked, you can report him to WP:AIV. If it isn't obvious or needs some clarification, you'll need to submit a report to WP:SSP. If the user is blocked, but not adequately, contact the original blocker and present your case to him/her. Bear in mind that IPs can not be blocked indefinitely. On the other hand, registered users, who are sock puppets, should be blocked indefinitely. —Anas talk? 12:18, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AIV[edit]

Hey buddy, in response to your report (which ended in a block, but not by me), next time, please follow the guidelines on the page. Not for any anal reason, other than it makes it a lot easier on us admins when researching the potential block. Just click edit next to "user reported", and right in the box in exactly how to report. Thanks! Jmlk17 21:37, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WWE Vengeance[edit]

It was the WCW championship at the time, check out the Vengeance 2001 results from WWE.com here, and the WCW title history here. Also, if you look at the World Heavyweight Championship History here, you'll see that Triple H was the first World Heavyweight Champion, when Eric Bischoff handed him the title to be exclusive to RAW, when Brock Lesnar (WWE champion at the time) decided to stay exclusive to SmackDown! Bmg916Speak 14:47, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously, you didn't hate to say it, because you did. Please put down the stick, and back slowly away from the horse carcass, the issue is done and settled. Bmg916Speak 20:49, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's not useless trivia, it's not trivia at all. I posted a comment on the pro wrestling project, unless there is some agreement to remove them I think they should stay. Lrrr IV 03:55, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I checked. You posted your opinion a couple of days ago, and no one has replied. That is hardly a consensus (actually, it's not a consensus period). I have posted my opinion, so maybe we should get others to comment on the issue. There is nothing saying that everything has to be resolved right away (part of the reason pages can be locked for several days until the issue is solved). I just don't think that so much material that is sourced and considered notable by several people (including myself and the various people who put them in the articles) without hearing what others think. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Countdown 50.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Countdown 50.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:16, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WWE One Night Stand[edit]

It is obvious to anyone who knows what the two wrestlers look like. That is Marcus Cor Von's face on the left, and Bobby Lashley's face on the right. TJ Spyke 02:02, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can't revert it yet without violating 3RR, but I am in the right here. Stating something that is obvious (and with the evidence right there) is not OR. Eventually, it will end up back in the article. TJ Spyke 01:20, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The source is the poster that is RIGHT THERE in the article. Take a look at an article like Metroid Prime, would it be OR to say that is Samus on the cover? No, but there is no OR when the evidence is right there. It seems like you are misinterpreting WP:OR (if you have even read it). TJ Spyke 19:04, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your idle threats don't mean anything to me since I know I have not done anything wrong. It's not OR since it's clear that it's Cor Von on the left, all you have to do is look at a picture of him. I will modify it for now until I find a source to stop you from screwing it up. TJ Spyke 20:09, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You calling me a vandal? Hahaha, if it isn't the pot calling the kettle black. I have made a compromise version just mentioning Bobby Lashley (since even wwe.com says Lashley is on it) for now, so please don't vandalize the page by removing him. I will find a source that states Cor Von is on it too (even though I don't need too, but I will). TJ Spyke 20:12, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you just vandalized the page AGAIN. You account is just a few weeks old and you are already showing you don't know how to edit. TJ Spyke 20:14, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You accuse me of name calling? You called me a vandal, when I have done no such thing. Take a look at WP:VANDAL. TJ Spyke 20:31, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Lying to the admins? I explained what was happening (wheras you only said vague details to try and make yourself sound innocent). The only possible "name calling" I have done was calling you a noob. I have brought this up at the talk page of WP:OR as well as at WP:PW. It's not OR, and I fail to see how you can call it that. Take a look at the bottom of this page: [1], where wwe.com clearly says that it's Lashley on the poster (it says "Support the Domination of Lashley with his T-shirt and poster!" and has a picture of his t-shirt and the ONS poster). TJ Spyke 20:40, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not quite. Even when I just said it was Lashley on it, you STILL reverted (although, I should point out that Cor Von is on the poster too). I meant to call you a newb (I sometimes forget the difference between noob and newb). TJ Spyke 21:19, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since I have provided you the proof you wanted, can you speak up for me at WP:AN/3? I can't afford another 3RR block since it would not be the first time and each one gets longer than before. We seemed to have resolved the problem (you wanted proof and I provided it). TJ Spyke 21:32, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't call you anything you didn't call me first. I apologize though. I also didn't think I would get in trouble since I only reverted 3 times, and the 4th edit was putting in something even you agreed with (that Lashley was on the cover) and I provided you proof with. I WOULD do the same if the situation was reversed and you had provided proof to show me wrong. Technically you also violated 3RR but I haven't reported you. TJ Spyke 21:46, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cool it[edit]

This isn't an issue of bossing you around, it's an issue of what's right for the article. Just because you don't think it should be there, that doesn't make it so. Take it to the talk page until we can reach an agreement. You haven't provided any good points yourself, so your reasoning as to why it should be gone is invalid. Take it to the talk page, we'll discuss it there. Dan 18:25, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regardless of what's required of you, you could do give us the common courtesy of telling us more than, "it makes the article worse." The DVD releases are information related to the series, and the information about said DVDs is important, the differences between them being notable. I assure you, I'm not the only person who's going to attempt to have this discussion with you. Dan 18:32, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, don't be a hypocrite. I believe it was you who got bossy. Dan 18:48, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Posters[edit]

Posters have been included for quite some time and no one has had an issue with them. I suggest you bring this up at the wrestling project (WP:PW) if you think they should go. TJ Spyke 20:49, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:name calling[edit]

I'm not ganging up on you. I am supporting TJ. The fact is, this DOES have something to do with me. I'm a Wikiproject: PW member and want the articles to be as good as possible, which I believe in this instance, you are preventing from happening. I'm not going to "nose out" as I have every right to back someone up in an edit dispute. I am not trying to start a war, to the contrary, I am trying to prevent one. Gavyn Sykes 22:52, 8 July 2007 (UTC) My mistake, I thought you had put him up for a block, but it wasn't you. I am not trying to "start shit" as you so aptly put it. I have better things to do than try to piss people off on the internet. I am trying to help resolve the dispute. You know that POV doesn't apply to talk pages, right. I suggest you read the rules a bit more, and maybe be adopted by a more experienced editor. Gavyn Sykes 23:07, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Countdown Edits[edit]

Unless someone citable identifies the three different Supermen, we cannot name them. Our perceptions as editors do not amount to the secondary sourcing we need for inclusion. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 17:32, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then you will need to cite where they are named as such, bc I don't see any reference to a reliable, external source identifying each of the different Supermen. Without it, us identiying them is not enough. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 19:08, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also have addressed this issue int he Discussion area for the article here. If you feel that my edit is unfair or whatever, please discuss the matter there. We can talk things out and arrive at a reasonable solution that is in keeping with WP guidelines and policies. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 19:17, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I noticed the addition of sources for your contentions (as did others), However, you can't cite Wikipedia in an article as a reference. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 20:02, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! RobJ1981 17:25, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think I made the point pretty clear, but fine I'll try again. When you edit, there is a box at the bottom (with the words: edit summary right above it). Fill in the box with what changes you made!. This is important, because then people know what you did for changes to the article or talk page. RobJ1981 21:27, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is just inappropriate and unnecessary. Please read WP:CIVIL for your own good, and try to assume good faith. User:RobJ1981 wasn't trying to "start shit" as you so succinctly put it. Question About Your Message...[edit]

When you said don't put unsourced material, what were you refearing to? If you meant how I put all the consoles Spider-Man: Friend or Foe would be available on, it is a fact, and I have included the link so it is not unsourced material.

It is not TBA, it has officially been announced, at E3 and all over the internet. I wouldn't have put it on Spider-Man: riend or Foe, had it not been true! Symbiote-Spidey

But look, SM: FOF is coming out for all of those consoles, and I put a vlid liink of all my information, under Marvel News Page, under external links. So please don't say I am making obnoxious edits when I'm not! Write Bac please, but not in a hateful way. Thanks. Symbiote-Spidey 11:37, 13 July 2007 (U

It is official with the company, just not on their website yet, because their website isn't even up yet, but Activision announced at E3 '07 that the game would be coming out for all of those consoles. If you just keep it on there, in time you will see I was right about all th consoles. I'm not makng it up. Right back, thanks. Symbiote-Spidey 12:00, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

You listen up here, it has been announced! I don' care if the stupid site hasn't posted it yet, they have already ANNOUNCED IT!!! And also, I wasn't trying to make pesonal attacks any personal attack on you, I was just trying to express my anger, by how stupid this is! So, does everything have to go your's and Wikipedia's way to be honest? WHO CARES IF IT WASN'T ON THE SITE, THE COMPANY HAS ANNOUNCED IT ALREADY!!! And like I said, I know you mean well, but right now your really ticking me off. I'm just trying to help people out, by posting what needs to be known, like what platforms it is available on, then you erase it, I get more mad and I have to wirte these stupid annoying messages, and get a reply that is pretty much saying,"Don 't wirt what's not on the website, or I'm gonna block you!" Symbiote-Spidey 12:24 13 July, 2007 (UTC)

I didn't edit the damn page, so just shut up! Go ahead, freaking report me, all I did was just put the truth, so you can edit your dumb-ass crap I don't care!

As long as I follow all of Wiipedia's guidlines for editing, you can't report me at all. I have ony added true facts, no specualtion or false editings, and I have supplied the link to my information. So you go ahead and threaten to report me if I, "Edit the page one more time!" I don't care what you do, but don't you ever accuse me of editing that page for the wrong reasons, ever again! --Symbiote-Spidey 18:25, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Warning"[edit]

Pray-tell, report me for what? Because I don't agree with you removing sourced and notable information from articles? I haven't done anything wrong, and I can see that you have been warned by others for your hostile attitude. Lrrr IV 04:05, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please check the actual edits. I have only reverted 2 times. The other edits I made were link fixes (fixing "Steve Austin" to "Stone Cold Steve Austin"). I have not violated 3RR. Lrrr IV 04:09, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't done anything wrong, so I am not worried. I actually think you should follow your own advice, you seem to be a hostile person (almost of your comments have been negative or hostile). Like I said, mentions of the posters should stay in unless there is consensus to remove them. I suggest giving the issue until Sunday night (12:59PM EST) for the issue to be discussed before any changes are made. The posters are sourced and IMO are notable. I want everyone to get along here, so I don't want to see you blocked. Lrrr IV 04:14, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
How am I funny? You do seem to be hostile (and have even been warned for it), and I am trying to discuss this issue rather than go out on my own and make controversial edits that have no consensus. There are several people who think posters should be mentioned, while I only see you objecting. I have suggested we discuss this on the appropriate Wiki Project for a couple of days instead before making controversial and unsupported changes. Lrrr IV 04:22, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am not trying to scare you. As for the links, they are the sources for the posters since content should be sourced if possible. If you don't mind the posters, then why are you removing mention of them? Lrrr IV 04:26, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now Just Hold On There...[edit]

Vandalised the page? When did I do that? Is it just because I put what consoles it would be on? I so did not vandalise it, so I have no idea what your talking about. All I ever did, which I will once again do, is put what the consoles the game would be released on. --Symbiote-Spidey 19:47, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you just tell me, we can put this whle incident aside and become friends, or guys that at least don't hate eachother, alright? --Symbiote-Spidey 19:53, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, okay...[edit]

But as soon as the website announces it, I am adding it and you can't block me then because the website will have announced it. Also, I didn't say we had to be friends, just that we could at least be two guys who weren't after eachother's throats, but okay we can be fellow editors whatever. BTW, the website is up finally, but all they have is pictures and the trailer, but I just thought I'd let you know. --Symbiote-Spidey 20:01, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Archive[edit]

Sure, I'll be glad to help. And honestly, I don't dislike you. I have issues with your editing, but that's fine and we're all here learning as we go along.

There are different ways to set up an archive. The simplest, I've found, is to use this template below. (You'll have to go into the "edit this page" window to see it.) Just copy-paste it to the top of this page.

At that point, you'll see "Archive 1" as a redlink. Block and copy whatever posts you want to have go in there, click on the redlink, paste the posts into the new-article window that pops up, and then hit Save Page.

Most people archive chronologically. Some do it by topic, but that seems an awful lot of extra work.

Thanks for letting me help. Believe it or not, it means a lot. Let me know how it goes. --Tenebrae 18:15, 17 July 2007 (UTC) Bold text[reply]

Third-revert rule[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Spider-Man: Friend or Foe. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors.
