Copyright investigation

On 28 Nov 2012 you added a copy-paste tag to Carmona, Cavite, but you did not indicate why, such as identifying a source. I notice it was removed here, but not by an editor who performed any cleanup, so I am concerned that if problems existed, they still remain.

I'd like to investigate, but I'm not sure where to start, other than to ask you what prompted you to add the tag.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 21:26, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Anne Curtis

I think that there should be a mention of her endorsements. I'm sorry if it wasn't a very good section, but I do believe that it deserves to be there. Although poorly written on my part as it being my first time to do so, it didn't deserve to be written off, but maybe revised to be a more thoroughly structured paragraph.I don't think it is "trivial fluff" if in her awards and recognitions section, she was in the list of top endorsers in 2011. If you consider it to be "trivial fluff" then you would say the same of Beyonce Knowles, Britney Spears and Carrie Underwood's pages among many others.MissFeFe808 (talk) 02:39, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:DSWD logo.png)

Thanks for uploading File:DSWD logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:09, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:DSWD-596x524.svg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

User request, as I made a little mistake in naming it.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Blake Gripling (talk) 07:03, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Prose tags at American Girl

Hello, you added prose tags to the lists in the American Girl article, would you mind clarifying what kind of prose content you wish to see created there? Thank you, Siawase (talk) 06:43, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for elaborating, I posted a suggestion over at Talk:American Girl#Lists of Dolls. Siawase (talk) 07:09, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 5

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of American Girl characters, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Patriot and Nez Perce (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Swedish folk music

I did not vandalize that page. I was simply listing one traditional Swedish folk song because some people looking up Swedish folk music might want to know about specific songs. "Weird Nerd" Yankovic (talk) 09:07, 1 June 2013 (UTC) Yeah. Two artists have done a version of that song. Most of the time when two folk artists recorded the same song it means the song is traditional. "Weird Nerd" Yankovic (talk) 09:16, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Mafia II reply

I think the plot summary is fine the way it is. I honestly wish this site wouldn't be giving so much crufts whenever we write a well-written summary in a video game article. I mean, everything in the plot basicially explains what happen during the events in Mafia II, inlcuding the mystery shadow of Henry and Joe's appearant death. I honestly don't see why we have to keep re-writing or eliminating a few more details in both Mafia game articles and the wiki here keeps crufting them. Port vs. "other version"

Hi.

I am calling in reference to this edit. Look, I don't want to deliberately harass anyone but please give yourself some credit: You say the word "port" should not be used in conjunction with mobile versions but then, you yourself use it in the same edit in conjunction with a mobile OS. So, I'm still confused; should we or should we not?

There that said, I've never heard that a port needs shared portions of code. But again, how do you know they do/don't share code? From what I have learned, when a piece of software is taken to another platform, as long as the essence is the same, it is a port. For example, StarCraft II is exactly the same in Mac OS X and Windows, so it is a port. Meanwhile Wii and PC versions of HAWX 2 are completely different, only share the same title. What do you think?

Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 07:11, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Is the iOS version entirely different? The prose says the story is pretty much the same, only simpler, right? Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 07:23, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Very well then. I have no further objections. But I suggest letting the section title be "other versions" because this phrase is broad enough to cover ports as well. "Version" is often used to cover major and minor versions, editions, sub-editions, variants and SKUs. I've seen this a lot of computer magazines, so we have WP:RS support. And please don't forget to link to the first instance of port.
In a related note, do you have any idea where can I find material to expand info about each version up to one paragraph? Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 07:43, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Tagalog help needed

Hello Blakegripling, I'm contacting you because we need some Tagalog translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on tl.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Tagalog Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 18:11, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
