Image copyright[edit]

Hi, I'm writing you about the image File:Manchuria Railmap.jpg. You've marked this as your own work, however the image looks to have been taken from a book or other source, meaning that it's not your own work. This means that the image would be considered a copyright and plagiarism issue, as it's you passing off someone's work as your own. What you need to do to fix this is to attribute the image to its original source and show where it falls under a compatible Creative Commons license or in the public domain. Something to take into consideration is that all images are considered to be held under a non-compatible copyright unless it's explicitly stated that they have a copyright that would allow for its image to be used on places like Wikipedia. This means that if the image does not fall into a compatible copyright, it will need to be removed. I would also like for you to review the module on contributing images, thanks.
