Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Grenville Anderson, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.supersedan.com.au/newsrelease200409.asp.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Comments[edit]

Hi, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~ You need to add independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. I think he's notable enough, but you do need decent references — Facebook is not adequate since it's self-created stuff, but links to on-line pages of sports or national newspapers would be good. Note that getting permission to use text is not in itself adequate.

If you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article's talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at the talk page with a link to where we can find that note.

Improving Grenville Anderson[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia,

I would be willing to help you improve and expand the article. I spoke up in the deletion debate. I am an American and know nothing about Australian super sedan racing. I do know, however, how to create and expand a decent Wikipedia article. What you need to do is research reliable independent sources beyond the Lismore newspaper articles from a few months ago. The Sydney mention of his death is too brief. Sources need not be available online though that's best. Newspaper or magazine articles covering the '93 crash, or covering his death and career in greater detail would be good. If the source isn't online, provide full range of detail: publication, city, author, date, page numbers, article title and exact quotes. It is OK to quote a few sentences from something copyrighted as long as the quote is referenced. But you can't use long blocks of copyrighted text unless the material is released formally under a free license. Any superlatives have to be based on reliable sources. For example, Australian motorsports magazine ABC called him "the greatest super sedan driver ever", rather than you expressing that opinion yourself. Hope this advice helps. Respond here or on my talk page. I will watch the relevant pages. Cullen328 (talk) 16:21, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
