Barnstar information[edit]

If you need to issue a barnstar, click on WP:STAR. It will show you how. Chris (talk) 21:36, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Link section[edit]

I think I understand what you were asking now: This links the page; [[Sword]]. This links the section; [[Sword#Roman sword]]. Snowman (talk) 22:50, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One other point, perhaps obvious - if you go to the Table of Contents, and click on the section you want, the browser url will now have the section included in the right way, so you can copy the right part of the url and have the link. For example, go to the article sword, click on the TOC entry "Late Middle Ages and Renaissance" and look in your url window, you will see "Sword#Late_Middle_Ages_and_Renaissance", which you can copy. Re:Dear Canadian[edit]

Short answer: sometimes. Long answer: if you're French Canadian, all females are "Mme" (pronounced "madame") or "Mlle" ("mademoiselle"). If you're anglophone, you may refer to someone as "ma'am" in a formal situation (like "Yes, ma'am" to someone with authority) or, less commonly, for a generic female. looking at your edit history[edit]

I was wondering what is your interest in amputation - do you have a prosthetic limb? Did you fight in a war? Sorry if these questions are too personal, just tell me to get lost if you don't want to answer them. NancyHeise talk 03:17, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw that you uploaded the surgical picture on limb salvation page. How did you get that picture? Are you a doctor or is that your leg they are operating on? I'm sorry if I'm too nosey but I guess I am just too nosey. NancyHeise talk 03:24, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I answered you on my talk page - you are a survivor - God bless you! NancyHeise talk 02:19, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A gift?[edit]

Just wondering[edit]

How's the leg? Are you able to walk on it? NancyHeise talk 02:40, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am able to put full weight but my balance is really bad so I use a walker to get around. Once I am done with chemotherapy I should have all my cells regenerate and my blood cell count will go back up, so I can start walking easier. The surgeon told me that if I run to much then I will wear out my new hip joint, I can do mostly everything I used to. When I am on chemotherapy my white blood cells die and I can't go out in public otherwise I could catch a flu or a cold and die from it, so I have not been to church for six months :( . But a preist brings me the blessed sacrement every day. - BennyK95 - Talk 23:30, October 14 2009 (UTC)

Benny, when is your chemo over with? I thought it only lasted for about six months, have you been on chemo for six months already? God bless you, I hope everything goes well. My favorite saint is Saint Therese of Lisieux. Her sister wrote a book entitled "My Sister Saint Therese" where she tells of the Saint's life as she remembered it. It is full of little short stories of Theres's life and words of wisdom. Her illness is described in detail as well as her attitude during her illness. She is an inspiration I think for people in hospitals who can use their situation for good use of prayer and other necessary things. I hope you have good reading, good prayer and a good recovery. God bless you, your doctor and your leg. NancyHeise talk 01:22, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
October 26 is the first day of the last regimen! Whoopie! I think my mom read that book about Saint Therese of Lisieux. I think Padre Pio has really helped me, I have prayed to him a lot. Just curious have you ever been to Alaska? All the cancer and chronic disease paitients get a free Make-A-Wish which they can use to go on a shopping spree or a vacation. I was thinking of going on an Alakan cruise. God bless -Benedict 23:48, October 17 2009 (UTC)
Benedict, that's wonderful, only 1 more week, I'm happy for you. The saints are truly our spiritual friends, I'm glad you are a believer. Regarding Alaska, yes, I go to Alaska every summer although I have never done the cruise. My parents have done the cruise several times and it is their favorite vacation choice. Everyone I know who has done the cruise enjoyed it. There are little side trips you can work into your cruise package. My parents especially loved taking the train to Denali and hopped a bush plane to Mt McKinley. Whenever I go to Alaska, I am just awed with the beauty of the nature and animals, we do a lot of fishing, hiking and kayaking in the Kodiak Archipelago. I hope you end up doing something that you really will enjoy. God bless you. NancyHeise talk 01:07, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

plethora[edit]

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I see someone has put it up for Proposed Deletion. If that is contested it may have to go to AfD. It looks like Owlapedia is a newbie so be careful not to WP:BITE. Colin°Talk 18:38, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

commons question[edit]

Hi, Re:File:Pathologic fractureIV.jpg. I was under the impression that this is a photograph that you took yourself of an X-ray. Someone on commons has questioned the source, so it would be helpful if you would confirm where you got the image from, by editing the commons file. Here's another one for you: Fortifications of the inner German border‎. It needs a little tidying up, which I'll do when I've sorted out the main article. -- ChrisO (talk) 23:58, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
