License tagging for Image:Ted bundy.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ted bundy.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:03, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Anus

[edit]

Please do not add nonsense to articles. It is considered vandalism. -- Ec5618 19:49, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't add nonsense. It made complete sense. The anus clearly had small pieces of fecal matter from the center of the hole to the bottom of the gooch.
Leave my edits alone and I'll leave yours alone. Deal? Thanks.

Erm, that's not really how this works. You reduced the fontsize of the entire article, and added irrelevant (and disputable) text to a description of an image. Such edits deserve to be reviewed, and as such I will not leave your edits alone, no.
As for your Talk page, while editors are afforded a lot of freedom on their own Talk pages, removing accurate warnings is not allowed. Asking all other editors to stay away from your Talk page seems oddly uncooperative in any case. Please review Wikipedia policy. -- Ec5618 20:28, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know I have placed tags on the picture you uploaded, Image:Paris hilton 5.jpg indicating that no source or license information was provided. Unless such can be found, the image will be deleted. I have also taken the liberty of removing the image from Slut, since such a description is intrinsically an opinion (see Wikipedia's policy on neutral point of view). Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page, User_talk:TeaDrinker, if I can answer any questions. Thanks, --TeaDrinker 01:26, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Rush (band), are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 22:15, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for vandalism

[edit]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and other deliberate attempts to disrupt Wikipedia are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. Gwernol 22:21, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How do I become an administrater?

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:41027164056.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (email) (Contr.) 17:50, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the Cindy Sheehan page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Badagnani 03:44, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Down III.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 02:42, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is the problem if it was uploaded by the band? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Benkelley (talkcontribs) 02:58, August 21, 2007 (UTC).

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Ted_bundy.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:28, 28 December 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 20:28, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
