Astons[edit]

You made this edit to Walter Aston, 1st Lord Aston of Forfar and a corresponding one to Richard III of England. Where on earth did you get this idea as the history of the family does not show this to be true take for example John de Aston (knight banneret) (died 1523) see also this biography of Walter Aston (1530-89) by the The History of Parliament web site. Everything shows them to have been members of a typical upper gentry family holding important offices in their home county of Staffordshire. and that they were in most cases neither particularly favoured or disfavoured by the Tudor dynasty (although bannerets were not given out with the rations and that John as least was more favoured than most from a similar social background).

Anyway I would like to see the source that you used to draw the conclusions that you did, so if you have time please leave the information on my talk page. -- PBS (talk) 11:31, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Beliaprhun. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Down and Back Companies".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Down and Back Companies}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 04:00, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
