Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Coffee production in India may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

If you copy paste an more, you may be blocked from editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:42, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

It appears that "BCI" (part of your username) is "Business Confidence Index" which is affiliated with the website you are apparently promoting. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:57, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello Anna Frodesiak, I was unaware of the full form of the BCI, while seeing your explanation I did a search too and was amazed to see so many options. Please note that I am in no way related to the "Business Confidence Index" or any such organizations. If there is any duplicate content issue: I added only information (Data, I could not edit or believe should not be edited or manipulated. I also provided the right source for the same where I came across.) I like to read and write, and found wiki a good place to contribute. I found a way to keep myself engaged. Never the less if you have found my content or link to be spam, I am sorry about the same. I truly regret to have done so, and known there are people like you to see the quality and standard of wiki. I humbly request your good self to unblock my ID as I know at heart was not trying to do anything wrong, promote any organization and never had the intention to break any copyright.

Decline reason:

You have yet to address the matter of the copyright violations. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:29, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I understand. But, you haven't said much about the copy pasting. Each time you clicked "edit" there was a large notice that says plainly "...Content that violates any copyrights will be deleted...", but practically all of your 54 edits were simply copy pasted. Request reason:

Dear Anna Frodesiak, thank you for being so understanding. I agree it is copy pasted and my contribution has been minimal. However, these are excerpts from websites and contain figures and facts, which cannot be changed. I could rewrite one, under your guidance, only if you unblock me. After your approval, I can then rewrite all content for the others also. I do hope you will guide me for a better understanding of wikepedia. Looking forward for an early reply.

Decline reason:

I must decline because you just stated that you cannot present the figures and facts from the source without changing the prose, and if you would attempt to do so (with "one"), it would require my guidance. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:41, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You say you agree, but then say your copyright violations were minimal, but there were a dozen incidents comprising almost all of your edits. It was not minimal. You then say "...these are excerpts from websites and contain figures and facts, which cannot be changed..." Well, see the typical example. That text could easily have been rewritten to avoid the copyvio while preserving the facts and figures.

So, I'm sorry to hear you say that your copyright violations such as the one above cannot be changed. I also do not want to guide you in rewriting text even if you had the opportunity to do so. Besides, I've already spent half an hour going through all your edits and removing the copyvios.

Here's a proposal: See the source text above? Rewrite it below as you would for an article. Preserve the facts and figures with no copyvios or even close paraphrasing. If you can do that, we'll take it from there. But for now, I am not comfortable unblocking you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:41, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Anna Frodesiak,

Extremely sorry to have up taken up your valuable time. I am sending you the new proposal as advised by you.

“Institutional buying of technical textiles by agriculture, railways, defence industries and government hospitals has increased. Rising requirements for flexible packaging material in industrial and consumer goods sectors have elevated potential in the spotech, protech, oekotech and geotech productions. Research estimates foresee that the textile industry in India will grow by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10%, to US$31billion by 2020. These indicate textile industry is poised for better investments and returns”.

Thanking you in advance. 13:27, 21 October 2013‎ Bcicontent

Hmmm, I'm really not sure that's what the source says. I think the best plan is for me to leave this account blocked until another administrator can take a look. Please request another unblock in order to draw the attention of another administrator.
Reviewing admin: It appears the user understands how serious copyvios are and won't do it again. Per AGF, I am satisfied that he wasn't trying to promote www.ibef.org, the ref source of most of his edits. I will monitor if unblocked and reblock if any more copyvios occur. The main thing is whether or not his representation of the paragraph above is satisfactory. If you think it is, and you do unblock, that's fine with me, and I'll notice because I'm watching this page.
Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:58, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Anna Frodesiak

Thank you for your kind guidance, since I would have liked you to unblock me, therefore I am sending a revised edition of the last source article for your perusal: "Increase in institutional buying of technical textiles by agriculture, railways, defence industries and government hospitals has led to a growing market. This has led to higher demands for flexible packaging material in the industrial and consumer goods sectors. Emerging markets potential is visible in the spotech, protech, oekotech and geotech production. Industry analysts predict that the textile industry in India will grow by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10%, to US$31billion by 2020, opening new markets for investments." As this has become a challenge for me I, therefore ask you to reconsider my plea. Thank you again.

A note on my unblock declines

[edit]

My humblest apologies to Bcicontent and the community. I was unaware until now that it is inappropriate for me to decline requests in cases where I was the blocking administrator. Please forgive me. I will leave this in the hands of others from this point on. Again, I'm terribly sorry. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:44, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
