How many references does an article containing 3 lines needs. It is a videogame store, so it is natural that videogame website's will talk about it. The Midwest gaming reference is from MidWest's official website's sponsor page. I have also given a reference from Journal Sentinel which is very noteable printed medium. http://www.jsonline.com/features/technology/81755557.html I have also added references for the pubulishing company from Gamespot & IGN, and I can keep adding them it just makes the 6 line article look over referenced.--Cube b3 (talk) 01:36, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

PFW tournaments

Hiyas Burpelson AFB, saw your note on that MFD I commented on that you hadn't heard of this spammer before so I figured I'd link you to their SPI and method of operations just for reference. Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/PFW tournaments/Archive. Essentially they make an account like User:Somewrestlingtournamentname and make a userpage that looks like an article, but only references their own company website. They don't reply to talkpage comments which suggests they are throwaway accounts, made for making the userpage and abandoned. In at least one of the accounts listed there the userpage was deleted and the sock was blocked, and another sock came along later and restored the userpage.

Its very weird. Its entirely possible that some of these events are notable enough to have articles, but him spamming userspace isn't the way to go about it. :) Syrthiss (talk) 11:16, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

How obnoxious... more likely it's just some kids with their own backyard wrestling clubs. I'l be on the lookout when I'm patrolling newpages since they seem to have ventured into making actual articles instead of just spammy userpages. Thanks! Burpelson AFB (talk) 23:11, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

In this nomination you initiated -- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ashley Kirilow -- you claimed there was only a single article about Kirilow's case.

May I remind you that the deletion policies are pretty clear that deletion should be based on the merits of covering the topic of the article, not on the current state of the article? Weak articles on topics that merit inclusion should be improved, not deleted. If you come across a weak article on a notable topic, and you don't have the time or interest to improve it yourself, you are supposed to use wikitags, or leave a note on it talk page, indicating your concern.

Your nomination strongly suggests you didn't use your favorite search engine to see how many articles there were on the topic. If you decide to continue to nominate articles for deletion I encourage you to take part of a minute for this essential step first.

I had intended to do the same thing, re Tom DeLay myself, later tonight, since the 2006 source to a Kim Novak blog saying DeLay had been exonerated was clearly just a "beltway rumor" at that point, and because the IP who added it was a two-edit single-purpose-account.

So thanks for the completeness of your work with that; not many editors tie up the loose ends with such care. Strange thing re timing though, but it turns out that, as of four days ago, federal prosecutors have said they won't be charging DeLay in the Abramhoff thing, according to the NY Times. That doesn't meant he has clean hands, of course, and he still faces charges on a different thing in Texas, according to the NY Times, but I thought I'd let you know, while I was saying thanks, anyway. I have to race out the door immediately, and if I can possibly make a few minutes later tonight to incorporate this news into DeLay's article, I'll try hard to do so ... unless you might be able to get to it first? Speedy deletion of Detours (band) page

Hello,

Thank you for the welcome message you sent me, much appreciated.

I have been using Wikepedia for reference material for many years now, and I have always found the site to be an incredible source of information. However, I am new to editing and have just set up my account. The very first page I created, 'Detours (band)' was speedily deleted yesterday and I would like some help in being able to reinstate it so that it meets the required criteria, please. Detours are an active band who have had many record releases, and my article was unbiased, although it may possibly have had too little content and did not give any online references. The page 'Kristyna Myles' includes reference to her collaboration with Detours on the song 'Sense Of Purpose' but previously had an incorrect link, as it linked to a different band called 'The Detours' from Scotland. I corrected this link yesterday after creating the page 'Detours (band)' but now of course it links to a page that does not exist!

I really would appreciate your help.
