A tag has been placed on Kayadu Lohar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

A tag has been placed on File:Kayadu Lohar.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/malayalam/movies/news/kayadu-lohar-plays-nangeli-in-pathonpathaam-noottandu/articleshow/81043859.cms. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. June 2024[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Dhola Maru, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 20:50, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the first I erased the Punjab by ignorance but the picture you &/or the uploader claim to be of dhola maru is actually depicting interaction Islam & Hinduism in historical times, namely of Pir-Sufi & Nath-Jogi Parts , N.B: Check out for this same picture in the link along with the description above & below near the picture > (https://sialmirzagoraya.medium.com/sangat-and-society-the-sikh-remaking-of-the-north-indian-public-sphere-c655ad7c72fa). The picture you claim to be of Dhola Maru is another picture (miniature) in this same album (Check the description of the picture).
Coming for the story part , The Rajasthani version I replaced it a more complete version & also attached Citation from where I have taken the part of the text. You just reverted all the changes I made back to previous forms with just hatred without cross-checking them yourself. Such destructive behaviour isn't acceptable here Maplesyrupsushi. B.Raja1994 (talk) 21:47, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was gonna further expand the article with another 3rd source in which they spoke about the conditions that led both of their fathers become friends which eventually led to both Dhola & Maru marry each other but it seems like I'm prohibited to edit & add to the article coz you reverted all edits without even reading them. Also congrats coz you also you erased the name of Father of Maru which was included in my edit & absent in previous incomplete version. B.Raja1994 (talk) 06:40, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@B.Raja1994 - Hello, you did not cite any reliable sources in your edits. Please feel free to add your changes while citing reliable sources to support them. If the painting is inaccurate then I will remove it, thank you for explaining it to me. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 16:01, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@B.Raja1994 So I looked at the painting and noticed you changed its details to the title of an Internet article it is displayed in, which doesn’t make sense. The original source where the painting was sourced from state it is a depiction of Dhola Maru. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 16:06, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sial Goraya does not provide a caption to the painting when he used it in his article. He just displays it in his article. Original source the painting is from links it to Dhola Maru (check the Wikimedia Commons file description for the link). What is your objection to this particular painting? Nothing wrong with providing depictions from various regions the folktale is linked to. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 16:13, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@B.Raja1994 I will go over the edits you made and restore any edits you cited a source for. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 16:17, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@B.Raja1994 So I restored what you added to the article. I also put the Rajasthani painting first since this folktale is more prominent in Rajasthan. Cheers, MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 16:25, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
