Thank you for the welcome message! I'm slowly figuring things out, so very much appreciate the links.
I've been updating images of properties on the National Register of Historic Places where I think the infobox picture is a bit stale. I recently updated one on the page of Pullman National Historical Park which was immediately reverted because "closer one is better". I left an @ on the Talk:Pullman National Historical Park for the editor who reverted my change. If I'm understanding Wikipedia's policies correctly, I should wait a day or two for a response on the Talk page before I reinstate my change (I'm trying to avoid an edit war).
I feel like "better" is pretty subjective and the image I uploaded aligns with Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images#Images for the lead. If I can't reach a consensus with this editor, my other options are to try the Wikipedia:Third opinion or Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard correct? Would greatly appreciate any guidance you can provide as I've never been in this situation before. Thanks! Atonarks (talk) 21:08, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
