In regards to Freddie Mercury, please don't remove free images in favour of non-free ones. Oh, and {{welcome}} to the encyclopedia! —♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 19:31, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, your image is a lot better, but that's besides the point for now. Please read WP:NONFREE. Basically, the image you provided is copyrighted. Wikipedia, with its motto "the free encyclopedia" can't accept that.. free pictures only. Exceptions are possible fair use can be asserted. But for this picture there's no hope because one of fair use's prerequisites is that the image is irreplacable and a free equivalent can't be provided.—♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 19:39, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How Do you know it's copyrighted?

It's copyrighted by default, unless the author states he releases it into the public domain or under a copyleft license. —♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 19:46, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But I put in the summary that I asked permission to use it

There are two problems with that. First off, even if permission is granted then you still need to use that in conjunction with a fair use template. Second off, I'm not too sure the particular fansite holds the copyright for the picture. By the way, if you disagree with me then take it up with me. Creating articles like 'wikinazis' is not going to help any of us.—♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 19:56, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Look, as much as I admire Freddie Mercury as well you really need to stop uploading copyrighted pictures of him and adding them to his article. Also, what does Freddie have to do with your school? No pictures of him should be there.—♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 22:12, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make personal attacks as you did at Wikinazis. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Can you please answer the Question.

Please don't be impatient —♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 19:56, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Freddie Mercury 3.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Freddie Mercury 3.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:07, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:FreddieMercuryWembley1.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:FreddieMercuryWembley1.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:FreddieMercuryWembley1.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --69.91.62.221 21:56, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you re-editing to the wrong things?

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Freddie at wembley.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Freddie at Wembley.jpg. The copy called Image:Freddie at Wembley.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 00:16, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning[edit]

I've told you a few times now, stop uploading copyrighted pictures for which fair use can't be asserted. Also, stop adding Freddie's pictures to your school's article. Next time I catch you doing this I'm afraid I'll have to block you.—♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 05:24, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
