Marking edits as minor[edit]

Information icon Hi Artoflowkeylife! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Specifically, two of your recent edits to Irene (singer) and Seulgi (singer) should not have been marked as minor edits. Both of these edits added new information to the articles, which should never be marked as minor. Please read through the previously linked help page before marking edits as minor again. @Alexanderlee: Hi! Thank you for informing me. I'm still quite new so I still have a lot to learn about editing wikipedia articles. I even have to search on how to reply on your message haha. Anyway, I would surely read more and take note of the rules. I'm glad though that those edits I did isn't removed despite this. Artoflowkeylife (talk) 11:54, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We all start somewhere and I’m still learning myself, so I'm sure you’ll pick things up as you continue editing. :) Alex (talk) 12:30, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please be civic[edit]

@Artoflowkeylife: – Please be civic. Btw, fyi I wasn't the one that added the controversy section in Irene article so don't direct your anger at me for not writing the entire controversy. User:Rain Forest was the one that added the controversy in the article on 14:38, 27 November 2020, and I just transfer it onto Life and career. Your edit was reverted because you're trying censored the content, my apologies if that isn't your intention. This type of things happened a lot of time because protective fans always tried to censored content which isn't what Wikipedia is, hence it's normal that edits are reverted if no reasons was stated. Btw, welcome to Wikipedia but please be civic in the future. – Paper9oll | Talk:Paper9oll 11:05, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Paper9oll: Hi! I apologize if I came off kinda aggressive with my comment, and sorry if you felt like I directed it to you. I did check who posted it and I knew it's the User:Rain Forest, and previously, there were other users too who kept on posting it before, but had been reverted back as well by others due to their intention of vandalizing the page. So really, I'm directing my comment to the general public. But still, it seems like it was directed at you so I deeply apologize for it. In general, it just pisses me off if I read something vague that might lead to more misinterpretations due to lack of research, so I left that damn comment. Next time, I'll be more careful with my words and I will state reasons if I revert back something. Anyway, again, I'm sorry and thank you for taking your time to talk to me. Yeri (singer)[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you recently added several YouTube references however you used {{YouTube}} template inside the <ref></ref> tag which is wrong. As per Template:YouTube documentation, quote This is not a citation template. Use {{cite AV media}} to provide bibliographic citations in footnotes. Alternatively, use {{cite news}} if the video is a newscast, or {{cite episode}} if the video is in an episodic format.. In addition, the template documentation, also stated quote This template is used to create an external link to YouTube in the ==External links== section. Please get yourself familarize with the template usage and read documentation before using it in your future edits. If you unaware about it, fear not I have updated the references you included to use {{cite av media}} instead. Happy editing. Paper9oll (📣📝) 08:33, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Paper9oll: Hi! Thanks for the correction! I learned something from it. I'd like to use it as basis for my future edits. I actually checked the Template:YouTube documentation, but obviously I wasn't able to execute writing the citation properly. Anyway, thanks again!Artoflowkeylife (talk) 08:43, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits to Joy (singer)[edit]

@Artoflowkeylife: Please do not make unnecessary changes to the awards and nominations table. The current style prior to your edits is the considered formatting to be used. The year column shouldn’t be merged altogether and shouldn’t be positioned first (this applies to awards and nominations table only, for filmography/videography, it is okay for the year to be at first column). In additions, please do not unnecessarily remove awards, most if not all of the awards you removed is considered notable and some are awarded by Korean government or government related services. I have since reverted your edits, please do not revert it unless you have valid reason to do so. Please also note that the formatting style is consistent across updated Korean artists articles and is the same styling as featured list List of awards and nominations received by BTS. Featured lists are the highest quality list articles in Wikipedia, and in order to qualify for it, multiple experienced editors will need to vet it before it is given that status.
