Plot summaries[edit]

Hi. I wanted to first thank you for working on the plot summary of Day of the Dead (2008 film). Unfortunately, Wikipedia has some kind of unintuitive guidelines when it comes to writing about fiction. One of them is that film plot summaries should generally be under 700 words. I know it must seem rather arbitrary, but we decided that we had to set a limit to keep them easily readable – and 700 words was what we chose. One thing you might consider is adapting your longer, more detailed plot to an article on a fan site at Wikia. That way, your work won't be lost. Please see WP:FILMPLOT. By consensus, film plots are limited to a maximum of 700 words. Please stop expanding plot of Day of the Dead (2008 film) beyond this limit. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:17, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I started a talk page discussion. It would be good if you contributed there. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:31, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have expanded the plot detail and tried to make the wording clearer while keeping to the 700-word limit.
