Article talk pages.[edit]

While I have every sympathy with your reasons for posting, please note that article talk pages are intended for discussions regarding what content we put in the relevant articles, and that per Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, they are not a forum for general discussions about the subject of the article. There are also rules regarding what we can post regarding living people that apply to such pages, which have to be applied impartially, regardless of our own personal opinions. Because of such rules, I've had to revert your recent edit, and I'd advise you not to post similar things again. And frankly there really isn't much point in posting in such places anyway, since few people read article talk pages.

If you want to contribute to Wikipedia, you are of course very welcome here, but do note that we need to base articles on published reliable sources rather than just our own opinions. This isn't always easy, when we have strong views on a subject, but it is the way we have to do things, and at least part of the reason that Wikipedia attracts the broad readership it does. What we try to do here is tackle ignorance and bigotry through imparting knowledge. If you want to get involved with more direct activity and campaigning, as you very well might, you'd do better to look elsewhere. AndyTheGrump (talk) 00:27, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
