please help me! I'm new to wikipedia and don't understand it very well so i need help, a lot. I created this article about myself (Alex Mattson) and i keep getting this speedy deletion thing. I have written the text by myself and i haven't done anything wrong with copyrights. Could you please help me?

Hello, Alex. Please be aware that Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia for NOTABLE content, not a social media website. If you would like to share information about yourself, feel free to write on your user page at User:Alex Mattson. A WU 1996 05:29, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just to expand on the above notes:
  • Articles must be about topics that are deemed notable. Particular notability guidelines apply to people - particularly living people, and even more specifically to musical artists. You do not appear to meet the requirements for you to be considered worthy of inclusion.
  • Writing about yourself is highly discouraged. It is reasonable to assume that it is difficult to write about yourself factually and objectively.
  • Any information about you needs to come from reliable sources - print or online sources with an established reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight. Blogs, social media sites and other self-published sources where users generate their own content cannot count as reliable sources. As well, you cannot cite your own personal knowledge or experience, as this is unverifiable original research.
If and when you accomplish something that is genuinely notable and can be verified according to Wikipedia's guidelines, then someone else will almost certainly write an article about you.
In the meantime, you can use your userpage located at User:Alex Mattson to write a small amount of biographical info about yourself. Just be mindful that there are also rules about what is and is not acceptable content on your userpage. It is not a space to promote yourself and not a personal website, blog or social networking site. --Drm310 (talk) 06:22, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alex Mattson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 03:50, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
