sexagesimal[edit]

Hi Alex1schmitt, and welcome to Wikipedia. I reverted your addition to sexagesimal, which was written in a jocular tone not usually found on Wikipedia. Take a look at e.g. Wikipedia:Neutral point of view § Impartial tone, Wikipedia:Manual of Style § Instructional and presumptuous language, Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Words to watch § Editorializing, and Wikipedia:Writing better articles § Information style and tone.

Your addition also wasn't sourced to any "reliable sources" making it look somewhat like "original research" (these are two Wikipedia-specific jargon phrases).

If you want to add something like this, you need to (1) find one or more reliable sources such as peer-reviewed journal papers or published books which make the claim, and then (2) write it down in an impartial encyclopedic style, citing the source(s). (You are welcome to do this.)

If you have further questions about this, feel free to start a conversation on Talk:Sexagesimal. All the best. –jacobolus (t) 17:52, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
