Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Third Sector (magazine). While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Please can you then look at this copy and change accordingly so it is not promotional.

please re-write this so it fits into your criteria. I have removed all links and It is an informative piece of information about an event that happens every year. It is factual and is about an event Third Magazine Hosts. Your copy you have put it again has links that are not up to date and therefore means the information you are putting in is wrong.

"Each year Third Sector host its annual Fundraising Week, comprising of the two-day Annual Fundraising Conference, the Business Charity Awards, IDM training, and workshops. Speakers are invited to share insights and advice through keynote presentations, panel discussions and case study explorations"

Please look at the following and tell me now where is needs to change. This would be a lot easier than you simply removing and giving a broad reason. All I am trying to do it include the information of what the third magazine does in addition to the actual magazine.

 Not done Some information has already been added to the article about this event, sourced from a press release published by another organisation. I could not find any other sources that provided any reliable coverage of this event. Adding your promotional descriptions would not be an improvement. Dear Drchriswilliams I am aware you have added information about Fundraising Week but yet again I need to emphasis that it is wrong. The Date of this event is from 2016 (last years event) and therefore is not up to date and since this event things have changed. Since last year it is now a week long fundraising event with a only a 2 day not 3 day conference. Third sector have sources on there website that are a lot more creditable than this source. I would like you to make these changes because your information is wrong and could potentially be damaging to third sector's magazine. This a magazine that prides itself on its credibility and up to date information and therefore your added text about the fundraising week does not stick to the brands ethos.

Conflict of interest

Hi Alex

I came here after seeing a comment[1] by you on the talk page of User:Drchriswilliams.

In that comment you say I work for Third Sector magazine and have been asked by my superiors to put the information in that you keep undoing.

This worries me. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not an advertising vehicle for you or your employers.

Wikipedia has various standards for inclusion of content, and it also has a policy about editors with a conflict of interest. See the policy at WP:COI.

You very clearly do have a conflict of interest here, so you should note that the policy says COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia.

The policy also suggests some ways in which editors with a COI can contribute: see WP:Conflict of interest#COI_editing.

There is some guidance on how to do this at WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. That guideline be helpful to you when you explain to your employers why it would be wrong for you to personally add info about them to Wikipedia. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 04:57, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

Dear BrownHaired Girl,

Thank you for your comments. I would like to add that the original copy that I added is no longer on this page and therefore this page is no longer COI. It was removed and since then all I looked at Drchriswilliams previous edit and have come to conclusion that it is fine. I would like to just ask for the text to read Third sector launched its annual Fundraising week in 2015 that is all. I would appreciate if your tags can be removed as I believe the page no longer has a COI. I am no longer needing to add anything to. This was not an example of self promotion but just informing people that third sector magazine host a fundraising week.
