Peer Review

[edit]

Listed below are my peer review notes/questions:

When providing information about partners, you could include how the term is more gender neutral. I understand that when you have a partner, it would then be considered a partnership. And having a boyfriend could make it more casual. However, when you are dating your boyfriend, you are still committed to that person. How does using that term make you any less committed than when you use the term 'partner?' I feel as if most people don't think of it that way and think of it more in the way of when you have a 'partner' it is when one is a same sex relationship whereas a 'boyfriend' is more heterosexual.

Overall, I added a few minor changes and you have provided some great information that will inform one who searches this term. Mprinella (talk) 18:24, 22 March 2018 (UTC)Madisson Rinella[reply]

Thank you for your suggestions. The original article talked about what dating is and I found another article on a different website talking about the difference between dating and partnership from a historical point of view. I will definitely look for different information to try to make it more clearer. Thank you. Albaker2020 (talk) 16:07, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the positive feedback! Madisson I agree with what you're saying about needing to ensure gender neutrality with the word partnership. We will work on using more concise wording to get the right point across. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexis.black (talkcontribs) 18:16, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review- Kristen King

[edit]

I think what you have added in is a good section, but the section about the difference between a partner and a boyfriend could use more content. Perhaps if you expand more on what is considered a partner rather than a boyfriend, and why they are so different. Is a partner just a title for a relationship between same-sex couples? Why is the relationship with a partner stronger than that of a relationship with a boyfriend? These are possible things you could expand on to make that section more clear. Other than that, I think you have solid information to add into your article! — Preceding unsigned comment added by KristenKing (talkcontribs) 02:25, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That's an interesting perspective and I think that I might look more into how it's different for same-sex couples if I can find the information in a creditable source. Thank you. Albaker2020 (talk) 16:07, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We will work on expanding the section about partnerships as well as using more clear and gender neutral language so it doesn't come across like it only applies to certain types of relationships. I appreciate your feedback! Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexis.black (talkcontribs) 18:18, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Maryah peer review

[edit]

I think your article was informative and straight to the point. I did not see any grammatical or spelling errors. The sources were properly cited at the bottom of the article. I do not think there are any thing on the article that needs to be corrected or revised. I just would gave a few sentences on courtship when it was mentioned and compared. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maryah12 (talkcontribs) 22:11, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

John Boddington’s Response to King’s Peer Review

[edit]

I think that King made a good point. There are differences between a partner and a boyfriend, and I do think that further clarification would not hurt the article. I think it just depends on the person and how they feel about both words. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnmbiup (talkcontribs) 02:34, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

John Boddington’s Response to Maryah’s Peer Review

[edit]

I think that this is another good peer review as well. I do believe that the content is good and solid. I cannot remember the last time that I heard the word “courtship.” I think more could be added in regards to that word. I agree, I could not find and spelling or grammatical errors either. I think that Maryah gave a good peer review. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnmbiup (talkcontribs) 02:37, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
