- Hi, Kylie! What do I need to have my article published? This journalist is relevant in Brazil, as shown in this article: https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcelo_Alonso. However, there's a lack of references in English, barely three of them. I need more references in English, right? Alan Vilhena (talk) 13:27, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- There's two references on draft, I don't know if you saw that. Here I send more references: Alan Vilhena (talk) 13:36, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

- Hi Alan Vilhena, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). The fact that you have created an article on Portuguese Wikipedia cannot be used to show "This journalist is relevant in Brazil". In fact note that Wikis including Wikipedia are user generated sources so not valid as references on English Wikipedia. The good news is that sources do not have to be in English. English is preferred when on option ,but any language is fine. The first link you gave is written by the subject so is a source for that fact they are a journalist but does not help show they are notable. The second is not significant coverage about them and is not independent as it is from sherdog.com where they are a contributor. Hope that helps explain things. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 13:56, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- Kylie, first of all, thanks for your attention. I've just added links to the draft. Reports in Brazil and Japan about the documentary “from the samurai to mma, 500 years of fighting” launched in Japanese Prime Vídeo in May of 2024. English version will be launched in August in USA and United Kingdom. There's is reports about the documentary in the website of one of the biggest newspapers in Brazil (Extra). One of the most important Brazilian news website - Terra - commenting the book launch ceremony of “Behind the octagon”. Exame, the most important Brazilian economy magazine publishing in their website a photo exhibition of Marcelo Alonso and Susumu Nagao, two pioneers of MMA coverage. Hope that links helps you to approve the article! Alan Vilhena (talk) 14:25, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- Once you have finished updating just re-submit and a reviewer will get to it. It may be myself again, but I'm on a semi break dealing with real life issues. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 14:55, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
