Awassi[edit]

Hi! At Awassi you've transliterated عواسي as ʿAwāssī. Is that correct? Is there really a shadda on the sīn, or should it in fact be ʿAwāsī? Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:56, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi! The correct transliteration perhaps is al-ʿAwāsī (العواسي). There is no shadda and the name contains the Arabic definite article al-. Al Shaykh Al Kasuri (talk) 12:24, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why continue...? Not trying to be demeaning, I'm genuinely curious. HistoryofIran (talk) 22:09, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You're wasting the time of countless editors by doing this over and over again, or does it not matter? HistoryofIran (talk) 22:18, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, last time at Aqsian313, I stayed away from Wikipedia for a while, only to see that I was globally locked from that account, couldn't log and couldn't apply for an unblock later on, I had no other option than creating another account. Aqsian313 was blocked on 30 March 2024 while this one was made on 22 May 2024, which is nearly a two-month gap. I was actually serious towards getting unblocked because I really don't want to make disruptive edits and work as an experienced editor but my accounts just keep getting globally blocked despite by requests for an unblock. I wonder why... HistoryofIran (talk) 22:29, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
