Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Eliezer | T@lk 11:13, 19 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am afraid your re-write doesn't work; the two remaining paragraphs have been taken from two different newspaper articles. I would recommend you to follow the instructions and use the temporary subpage to write a new article from the scratch (i.e. not copying it from any website, unless the copyright holder permits the text to be submitted on Wikipedia under the terms compatible with the GFDL license). In addition, a part of the text has read like a promotional; see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view on why this is a problem. Regards, Mike Rosoft 18:10, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Vijaykanth2.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vijaykanth2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:21, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Akesavan! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 889 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Nirupama Vaidyanathan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Sivakumar - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
