Music as Torture

Clearly you are not familiar with the use of heavy metal on Iraqi prisoners that was in the news not terribly long ago. Was that not evidence of music as torture? Yes. It was. The use of music as torture is not "nonsense" and the use of that word was insulting compounded by the accusation of vandalism, which ironically, is nonsense. I am currently in contact with the folks at musictherapy.org discussing how the positive effects of music can have, in certain circumstances, an adverse affect. Music can be a valid form of torture and your edit is incorrect. Please replace my original posting.

Bomba

I couldn't tell what you were trying to do with bomba, but whatever it was, it was not in line with general Wikipedia conventions. If you can explain what your concern is, I can help you fix it. Tuf-Kat 00:46, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Your RFA

I suggest taking down your RFA you just posted. Wikipedia standards for adminship are set way too high to a relatively new user such as yourself, and I don't want to see you get discouraged and leave by your adminship failing. Moe ε 22:09, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Heh. Y' beat me to it. Honestly tho, Scienceman, take it easy, enjoy yourself, and let it come naturally. Have fun, and happy editing, Mysekurity 22:13, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

RfA

Whoah there, cowboy! I saw you just signed up for adminship, but I'd like to talk to you about that first. At Wikipedia, there are different standards for adminship than at other places. For example, we typically like to see people who are pretty active (here a good number of months—3, 6, or more—and have a large number of edits). This is not to say that you can't run, but I'd like you to re-consider, though I do admire your enthusiasm. To be honest, I was pretty antsy about becoming an admin at first, but I stuck around, made some edits, and then the RfA nomination came more naturally. Do me a favor and keep editing, keep writing, and maybe I'll be the one to nominate you. In any case, you might want to take that down, as it's really hard to succeed without meeting those above conditions. If you need me, hit me up at my talk page, or send me an e-mail. Good luck and I'll see you around, Mysekurity 22:12, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Why?

Hi. Need to why you chose to revert my edits to the article Sangeet Natak Akademi. -Mayuresh 22:23, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

What important info? You are welcome to add it. I was a bit surprised that you undid about half hours of my changes. - Mayuresh 22:28, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Your RFA (cont.)

Just to let you know, I closed your RFA nomination. If you think this is an incorrect move on my part feel free to let me know but I think it was in everyones best intrest if your nomination was removed. Don't let this discourage you though. Next time, let someone nominate nominate you (or nominate yourself) for adminship in the future. Happy editing! Moe ε 23:39, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

GTA San Andreas

I saw you reverted my edit from the ghost car section. I added the actual names used in the mentioned folders. They DO appear that exact way. I cant help if Rockstar gives idiot names to its cars. If its too rude, then I wont mind.

Vandalism on Friedrich Nietzsche

I think it is best for you to be aware of the recent subjection of vandalism to the article, and I have so far traced these from the past to moments ago, all following similar patterns: [1]; similar vandalism, different IP, "honest" political distortions, and again. At any rate, I hope we can find some way to bring a stop to this ridiculousness bent on falsifying Nietzsche's claims and so on. I will try to notify others who have been keen on the article's improvement in the past.

Your Request to Use VandalProof

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof; however, I'm afraid I can't approve your request to use this tool. You have to understand that VP is a fairly powerful tool, with which a lot of damage could be done by users who are inexperienced with how Wikipedia works. Currently you have only 145 edits in all namespaces, whereas it is generally required that users have at least 250 mainspace edits to use VandalProof. I would like to ask you to resubmit your request in a few weeks, and if you continue to be active within Wikipedia combatting vandalism and can demonstrate that you have sufficient knowledge of Wikipedia's policies, I will reconsider approving you. I'm sorry about all the confusion (I noticed the messages about your RfA above), but you just have to understand that a lot of the tools (including adminship) that have rather stringent eligibility requirements are such for a reason--to prevent abuse that could cause serious problems for Wikipedia. If you have any questions or disagree with me, please contact me. Thanks. AmiDaniel (Talk) 03:13, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Category:Aspergian Wikipedians

Category:Aspergian Wikipedians which you have included on your user page has been proposed for deletion you can comment at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion#Category:Wikipedians by mental condition. The is also a proposal to create an association to meet the needs of users with mental health conditions. --Salix alba (talk) 18:56, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Please be careful

Hi Scienceman123. Thank you for your many edits and efforts to fight vandalism. A small request ... can you please be a little more careful with your reverts? In several cases you are adding back spam and vandalism into the articles. [2], [3]. Thanks. Monkeyman(talk) 23:00, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Please see the talk page to either this article or Roger the Engineer. Thanks, Alcuin 02:05, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

vandalism

Is this a joke? I've made some substantial edits to the page and was moving some stuff around. Is this automatic? BlueShirts 23:43, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

No problem, keep up the fight against vandals! BlueShirts 23:48, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Revert on antiscience

Please do not use popups to revert content disputes, as opposed to obvious vandalism. Oh, and on a side note, your revert was wrong on content alone, since the text you removed was accurate and well-cited. In short, I believe you've made an error and encourage you not to repeat it. Thank you for understanding. Al 23:41, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

List of NRIs

Hi, Could you please clarify what vandalism I have committed? I've just scoured lists of NRIs in wikipedia and compiling them on one page. This is just cut and paste. No new information is added. Regards Thanneer 04:09, 3 July 2006 (UTC) Sorry about that. I'm checking again for spelling mistakes. I haven't removed any content, I'm just cutting and pasting what is relevant. Please check the page again shortly. Thanks. Thanneer 04:24, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application

Dear Scienceman123,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that that you don't have enough mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof.Xyrael / 17:36, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Mistaken warning

Hello. I believe when you tried to warn the vandal on Prince Edward Island, you warned me instead. I have removed the mistaken warning. --physicq210 18:42, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

As it doesn't match any account (tried variants as well). Feel free to repost if you find the right account name. Thanks, — xaosflux Talk 02:24, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm terribly sorry you still haven't been reviewed since placing a request on the 4th - it seems you accidentally placed your request at the bottom of the list, not the top, so I only just noticed it now. Anyway, I've given you a review, and thought I should draw your attention to it. Happy editing! RandyWang (chat me up/fix me up) 08:22, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for RC patrolling. I understand why you might have reverted that. However, it was not vandalism. If you are not too busy, I hope you won't mind removing the warning from my talk page. 72.137.20.109 03:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Bad revert of Timpani

This edit is not vandalism by any stretch of the imagination. (In fact I made the edit without logging in.) Please be more careful when using automatic software to assist in finding vandalism. – flamurai (t) 09:13, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Bad Revert of M1941Johnson

You gave no reason for deleting/reverting the factual, sourced relevant and informative material I recently added to this article, there was no reason to do so. The material I added has verifiable sources, listed for anyone to see. - Tim 25 AUG 2006

Drini and the CVU deletion

You, like so many other Wikipedians, seem to have felt that Drini's actions in the CVU deletion proccess were wholly inappropriate. As a result, I'm forming an ad-hoc group of sorts composed of people interested in removing Drini. If you'd like to be involved, just drop me a note. ShortJason 20:07, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Scienceman123, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!
