People from Đakovica[edit]

Hey there — I noticed that you have something of a disagreement on Đakovica regarding a list of people, and you've indicated that you thought a page like List of people from Đakovica might be a better idea. However, I think that an even better idea is to make a category like Category:People from North Brabant such as Category:People from Đakovica. That way, you can just go to the articles of the people you want on the list and add to category instead. This has a lot of advantages:

  1. It makes the article Đakovica shorter
  2. It is dynamically updated; the page Category:People from Đakovica is always up to date and you never need to edit it.
  3. You can source their birthplace on the person's article, which is more clear and helps keep size down for people with slow connections.

I think this is a much better solution, and strongly urge you to pursue it and refrain from edit warring further on the main article to add these people. --Haemo (talk) 08:37, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I wouldn't mind a brief section "Notable people from Dakovica" in the article. Only, it has to be restricted to people who are actually notable and where we have sourced information enough for an article. So, those football players that are now in the category might be okay, as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, thanks for stopping the reverts; we'll get this sorted out later.
