License tagging for Image:LC Busre's Fairchild Metro III.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:LC Busre's Fairchild Metro III.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:07, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Pamparomas
An editor has nominated Pamparomas, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pamparomas and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. The person doing the blanking is the original submitter. Based on previous conversation, yesterday was when the Ontario Tories were to decide whether to nominate her or another candidate for a provincial parliament seat, and I assume from the blanking that she didn't get it (can't find verification myself). Best to leave the article blank and let it get G7-speedied, methinks, since it fails notability if she didn't get the nod. --Finngall talk 18:07, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- I found independent confirmation of her non-nomination, so I've prod-tagged it. --Finngall talk 18:49, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

WORD-AM
I don't know how anyone around here is supposed to get help. If you haven't posted on my talk page since I posted on yours (and do not deny that I posted on yours; I don't know what happened but I did), then how am I supposed to know what to do?
I did not create a test page. I created a page because when I clicked on a link that's where it went.
I posted on the talk page for WORD (AM) what I needed done. So far all I see there is pink. What is pink has not solved the problem.
If I find this gone, it is proof that you just want to crticize people as opposed to wanting to help.Vchimpanzee 22:02, 8 May 2007 (UTC)Vchimpanzee 22:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. Yes, that accomplished what I was trying to achieve.
I don't know what I'm doing when I try to edit talk pages. This site is very confusing. If I removed anything, I'm sorry. I still find this site very confusing. There was a Help section but I need a Help section for the Help section. I thought it would just be easier to go to the person who informed me that I did what appeared to be improper. Now I'll try your idea with the other problem.Vchimpanzee 22:48, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Responding to your question about the WORD template, there should be a lot more stations. I'll bring that up on a site I go to where people talk about station histories and about what needs to go on Wikipedia.Vchimpanzee 13:59, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Agusto Polo Campos
Yes it is a "tremendous typo", It is not Augusto, let me see, sorry for my delay in answering you, I will visit Agusto's page now in case this was not fixed. Thank you. -"-Todos Llegan de Noche, todos se van de día" 20:34, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, Erick, It was not a tremendous typo after all it was all the same, right. The way you stated your question, for some reason made me see it otherwise instantaneously. Well, I corrected it all back to where is supposed to appear, i.e., to Augusto, and also I change the names in the content, I did not reverted, I edited, therefore your contributions will appear as they were: made with/in good faith. Greetings Erick, see you around those busy projects. - John Manuel -"-Todos Llegan de Noche, todos se van de día" 19:20, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- Great. All problems solved. AgainErick 19:31, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you
Firstly, I was forgetting to thank you for your question that brought my attention to the typo, therefore: THANK YOU!, Secondly, I am curious, you are living in Netherlands and also you are Dutch, then you are proud to be part of the Wikiproject:Perú, well why are you so interested in Perú Erick? I just would like to know. Hope I can read from you soon, enjoy Wikipedia. FYI currently I am working in other languages but I will comeback more often to the English version of it. Oh! by they way I fixed it -"-Todos Llegan de Noche, todos se van de día" 20:57, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello, AgainErick. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Delft-University-of-Technology.png) was found at the following location: User:AgainErick. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 00:11, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello AgainErick, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Delft-University-of-Technology.png) was found at the following location: AgainErick. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 11:31, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Possible vandalism of a page you created
AgainErick: You created a page for Tambopata Province that has since been edited by 167.104.6.43 (who has been accused of repeated vandalism), and Jelld (who has only contributed information related to this problem). "They" included information about a Masetelli tribe, which does not come up in web searches. Is it possible for you to verify if this tribe actually exists? Thanks in advance. 132.192.14.232 02:28, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

{{Peru-arch-stub}}
Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 01:46, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

- Erick in terms of creating new categories or other stuff for Perú, remember WP:OWN, and besides now that you are part of the Wikiproject Peru, can you consult with us so and theretofore we keep the team and the consensus together with the content? thank you! THE BLUE MAP OF PERU
First, thank you for your efforts, your map was accepted in consensus as we should conduct our business in here, for such I congratulated you. There are some changes that we have to agree upon:
- The now official regional and clickable hopefully sizable map, needs to be finished in his final form so we can finally use it officially.
- We need to move own with the departments (no rush)
- We need to invite new and more people either to join or Participate, or both, in the Wikiproject Peru
- We need to create an outreach Newsletter, hope we all can work together in this
- We need to improve the Peruvian archaeological pages
Outside the scope of WP:PERU
- I have even another fascinating project (I am assembling a team) related to the "first American Man": It is current, has been documented, up to this point. Let me know if you want to get involved, I know you like to take photos.
I would like your input as a strong collaborator and an asset for this short and middle-term objectives in Wikipedia.
- Lastly, I have posted this question and I would like not to post this anymore: This simple question is: Being from the Netherlands, a country once rule under the Spanish empire, why are you so interested in Peru and not in Chile for example? A general answer without getting into specifics will suffice for me and will show your transparency. I don't see (personally or objectively) why in a blue moon you can't or don't want to answer this, but there is always a cause for every behavior, according to Skinner. I will put my eye to the point. So please enlighten me, I am expecting that you would do so. Wouldn't you?
Waiting for your replay and with respect and sincerity, I write a "read you soon" by giving you again thanks for your cooperation in our [of course also is yours] Wikiproject Peru in Wikipedia. John Manuel I know you can write me, Can't you? -"-Todos Llegan de Noche, todos se van de día" 13:07, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- I've sent tou an e-mail via wiki - the one you registered with - seen that already? AgainErick 17:13, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- I missed till now. My deepest and sincere apologies. Lets continue by moving on. John Manuel march forth -19:02, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
About Peru Project tables
Hi, I just wanted to know if you would like the WP:PERU look like Wikipedia:WikiProject Iceland (but in pink-red), I'm asking you this since I saw many of your design edits were inspired from there. And to let you know I created Wikipedia:WikiProject Peru/box-header for making box editing easier. see you around--Andersmusician $ 05:48, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- That's exactly what i suggested after we made the initial change to the WikiProjectPeru page. Time permitting before i took a vacation to Peru. Thanks for doing it.AgainErick 13:26, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Table
This as in the WikiProject Scotland is done manually, there is a bot EditCounter, it is helpful but, not for this job. Therefore: We need to see the contributions. To measure their activity: for instance and by simple inspection:
- 1st Check the user talk page activity by accessing the page and see if this page has any summaries dated, in the last three months
- 2nd Count those activities and collect that information, it is a number lets say == "a"
- 3nd Check the user contributions you can find one them one his edit and the go to his contributions summaries and check in for the last three months home many summaries the user has, collect the information, basically a number. Let say == "z"
- 4th See how many, if any, belong to the WikiProject Peru or any related discussion, like the maps force task, now you have another number == b then rest these from the total number of contributions "z" such as . You now have three numbers now, a, b anc c.
- 5h Input these numbers to the parameters as explained at the Wikiproject Peru page to the template, then you are the judge to determine inactivity, which is the fourth parameter of any vector A or strike A. How often? How recent? that kind of questions. I was doing a table of criteria but I have to do something in real life now.

Hey, great catch with the copyvio on Punkurí. Looks like that user's "written" many other Peru stubs, I bet they're all also from that site, but I'm having touble finding them with google. How did you figure out those were cv's? Care to look at her contribs and tag more of them or let me know how you did it? Thanks much, delldot talk 22:28, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, we were warned about some edits on the WikiProject Peru talk-page. I checked, and it turned out most of the edits were copyvio from http://recorriendoelperu.com/ Then I started looking into all articles and found some more with google. There are still more left and i will check them too. The stub articles on geography are ok (for the time being). AgainErick 22:38, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, good, because I was looking through her other contribs and trying to figure out why I wasn't finding the source of the copyvios. If you keep tagging them, I'll keep deleting them, I'll just watch your contribs. Thanks again for the good catches. Peace, delldot talk 22:43, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Undue weight
Hi Eric,
I'm wondering why you are removing so many Larco Museum links due to UNDUE WEIGHT? After reading the description, I think the fact that certain pieces belong to a museum collection is completely acceptable. If people want more information on the piece, they would look to the collection it belongs to. Please expand your reasoning. Thanks. Lyndsayruell 22:44, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- It seems you placed images to promote the Larco Museum by placing them on a lot of animal articles. The articles on animals don't necesarilly benefit from all those pictures and certainly not from the link to the museum. --AgainErick 22:49, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

I apologize
Between December 14, 2005 and June 7, 2007, I vandalized Wikipedia under my previous username (YechielMan) and under various IP addresses and alternate accounts.
I recently reviewed the contribution logs of all the accounts and IP addresses that I can recall having used. My goal was to identify all of the intentionally harmful edits I caused, and to apologize to the individual users who reverted those edits, or warned me, or blocked me.
Hence, I apologize to you and to all of the following users:
- Adam Bishop, Amarkov, Antandrus, AntiVandalBot, Bdj (Badlydrawnjeff), Conk 9, CanbekEsen, DLand, Downwards, Eagle 101, AgainErick, Gogo Dodo, High on a tree, Hut 8.5, Interiot, Jayjg, Jrwallac, Kingboyk, Kuru, Noclip, Patrick Berry, PFHLai, PhantomS, Pollinator, Rachack, Ranma9617, Rx StrangeLove, SlimVirgin, Tfrogner, TommyBoy, Vary, Woohookitty, Zzuuzz, and some anonymous IPs. (I also reverted one edit myself after it went unnoticed for three weeks.)
Thank you for maintaining the integrity of Wikipedia against everyone who has attacked it, including my old self.
If you wish to respond, please do so at my talk page.
Best regards, Shalom (Hello • Peace) 19:26, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Infobox Archaeological Site Peru
Dear AgainErick. I would like to request a change on the Inforbox Archaeological Site Peru. Instead of "civilization" I would much prefer to see the term "culture" or "society. Abandoning "civilization" omits the use of an anthropologically loaded term that implies a level of cultural complexity that many theoreticians argue did not develop in the New World until Moche. By using "culture" instead of "civilization" the infobox will be applicable across the board. I am not sure how to change the infobox, and when I change the term in specific pages the preview does not seem to reflect my intended edits. I would appreciate your help on this because I would like to apply the infobox to some additional site entires. Thanks--NathanCraig 03:48, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- Done. --AgainErick 11:32, 17 October 2007 (UTC). Many thanks for your response, this is what makes wiki better. Caption changed to Culture.
Request to change 'Civilization' on Infobox Archaeology Site Peru
Hi Eric, I noticed you added an infobox to the Chankillo entry. I think that's cool, but take issue with the use of the word 'Civilization' in the box. The Wikipedia entry that it links to on civilization states: "specifically, a civilization is usually understood to be a complex society characterized by the practice of agriculture and settlement in cities." Well, this is not applicable to all societies in human history, an in this particular case is not applicable to Chankillo. Whether you agree or not with the use of the term (I do not - but that is another matter), for a general infobox to be applied to all archaeological sites in Peru I suggest a more inclusive terms such as "Culture". That is generally more accepted, and less of a 'loaded term'. I can't figure out how to change that term in the box. Normal edits don't work. Could you make this change? It would make things easier, since you are the one who appears to have created the infobox.
Thanks, Mybvega 03:52, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi AgainErick, I would like to know the pronunciation of the name of the dutch architect Rem Koolhaas. Though this architect is well known in Peru, people pronounce his name in a variety of styles not knowing which one is correct. As you are from the Netherlands, I ask you to clarify this matter recording an audio file or writing the pronunciation in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Thank you. --Guillermo Awkawasi 18:28, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Guillermo, always happy to help you in this matter, I'm not an expert in the IPA alphabet, but to my best knowledge the following is an acceptable notation. Remember that if you come accross a table showing IPA notation for dutch vowels do not use the standard for the oo in koolhaas. Especially in the western part of the Netherlands (where Koolhaas is born) in this case the oo (and other sounds for that matter) is pronounced differently and resembles much more an english-style IPA: [ɔː] pronunciation.
- IPA: ['rɛm 'kɔːlhas]. Also note that the IPA: [a] is not the same as the IPA: [ɑ] used in english, the IPA: [a] is different and much longer, different enough and a bit too short to qualify for IPA: [ɑː], which is the long english vowel. Real purists may argue that in the combination of the two dutch words kool and haas the latter h influences the preceding 'l' and thus a different IPA-notation is needed. I'm assuming the real problem in pronouncing Koolhaas are the oo and aa. I would love to add a sound recording if you'd like, but untill now I'm only using ogg-codecs to play sounds. I've never tried any recording in any format whatsoever. --AgainErick 20:47, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your very illustrative explanation. The common misconception here is to pronounce the oo as in English cool or to omit the h as it is silent in Spanish. The closest pronunciation I have heard is: IPA: ['rem 'kolhas] which was also the one I used to pronounce, using Spanish vowels instead of Dutch ones. Now I see the difference. I will include your notation in the article of Rem Koolhaas, as for the sound I would like it to be inculded too but it is up to you. Thanks again. --Guillermo Awkawasi 03:20, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Adding Infobox City with deprecated parameters
Hi AgainErick,
I am not sure where you got the Syntax for the recent articles that you have been adding {{Infobox Settlement}} (aka Infobox City) to, but you have been adding an older out of date syntax (by several months) with many deprecated parameters. Please see {{Infobox Settlement}} for the lastest empty syntax. Also for Peru, if you can find the coordinates (I used GoogleEarth) of a location, you can place a pushpin_map (locater map) in the infobox. See my edit to Antabamba for the diffs. Regards, MJCdetroit (talk) 21:56, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thnx. I've already been adding coordinates for many towns/cities. Also already noticed the elevation_m parameter and fixed most of them. Copied Infobox params from some other town in Peru, cannot remember which one. As a matter of fact i created the push pin locator map for Peru myself. --AgainErick (talk) 22:03, 6 January 2008 (UTC).
Your edits popped up in this category: Category:Settlement articles requiring maintenance. Its purpose is to catch the deprecated parameters like "elevation" and "city logo". Good work on the map! Check out {{Infobox Settlement}}'s main page for all the parameters and their functions. There are some new features like "parts", "seat", and "named for". —MJCdetroit (talk) 23:01, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Please explain removal of my addition
Hello Eric,
You edited the Caylloma Province article, removing my addition of a link I found to the official website of the Huambo village. Since there is no article for the village itself, and I don't have enough information to warrant adding one, I thought this was a reasonable page to add that link to. In the comment of your editing, you do not explain (at least I could not understand) why you removed the link. Please explain.
Thanks,

- It's not a custom to add links in this manner. Best way is to create a stub article for the district and add the link there. Wiki is not just a collection of links. It's appropriate to add the link to the article on the district. --AgainErick (talk) 23:01, 7 January 2008 (UTC).
- Thanks for creating the town's page.
- I think it would have been nice if you had done that originally, rathern than just deleting the link I added.

Huaraz
Hi, I am the person who added the information in the Huaraz Province article. If you take a look at it, ypu'll see it's not refering to the city itself, but to the city and the sorroundings (near towns). All of them, of course, composed the Huaraz Province. Please do not erase any information about it. Thanks. --Evelyn Zuñiga 23:28, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
I think you are completely wrong. All the Departments or Regions of Peru have a province that is the mos important of it, that's why it's called the capital of the Region. I think you'll have a better idea of it if you actually live there. Furthermore, there's no need of using CAPITAL LETTERS to give your point of view, nobody is fighting or anything and it's considered very rude to use them. Thanks. --Evelyn Zuñiga 16:25, 9 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Evelyn Z (talk • contribs)
- A Capital is a City, not a province, maybe Huaraz province is the province in which the capital of the region is located (ubigeo code ending in 01), but that does not make the province a capital. Every country has capital cities, never mind where you live or live not, living in Peru or not doesn't alter that fact. --AgainErick (talk) 20:19, 9 January 2008 (UTC).
