Disambiguation link notification for October 26[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tae Crowder, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sack. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:29, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions notification[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hello, Admiral Farmer

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SportingFlyer, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, 2019 AFC Championship Game, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SportingFlyer}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

2002 AFC Championship Game moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, 2002 AFC Championship Game, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 17:22, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Admiral Farmer. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "2002 AFC Championship Game".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Emperors as Pharaohs[edit]

Hi. You seem to have used a journalistic source (the independent) to support an addition of "Pharaoh" to infoboxes at various articles on Roman Emperors. Several editors have removed what you added. The Independent is a reliable news source, not a reliable scholarly source; infoboxes should present what's agreed by most serious sources, and not introduce disputed or controversial material, especially when it's not even addressed (again with serious scholarly sources) in the main article body. No Roman emperor officially used - or was formally granted - the title of Pharaoh, certainly not in Rome or by the Roman armies, people or Senate (the ones who counted). A contemporary image of "Emperor as Pharaoh" in the article body, with brief explanation, is fine; but it's an expression of loyalty by provincials rather than a formal or legal title, and shouldn't be given undue weight by inclusion in the infobox. It's an Egyptian aspect of Rome's Imperial cult, which finds an equivalence between local divine rulers and Emperors but wisely avoids making any claim of divinity in Roman terms, or in Rome itself. The consequences of making such claims are clearly illustrated in the fate of Julius Caesar. Haploidavey (talk) 05:48, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, with calls of a sitting State Senator for him to run for office,(2) and getting his website promoted by a sitting Congressman,(3) I for one say this article stays.
