This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kate Davis (Vocalist & Bass player), and it appears to include material copied directly from https://plus.google.com/102892541513448601174/about.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Kate Davis (Vocalist & Bass player), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Helpsome (talk) 15:10, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Kate Davis (Vocalist & Bass player) Speedy Deletion[edit]

Good Day. First off, you misplaced your question concerning this article, as the editor responsible for the deletion of the article was not Star Mississippi (talk · contribs), but me. I noticed the post on his talk page concerning the material, and I will reply here for your benefit.

The issue here is the the deletion of the article Kate Davis (Vocalist & Bass player) under speedy deletion criteria A7 and G11, which in English means that the article was judged to have no independent assertion of notability as required by our general notability guidelines, and for reading as a advertisement or promotion for the person in question, respectively.

On the first issue, that of notability: we need to have the person in question be well known enough that they satisfy the criteria for the general notability guidelines, as well as satisfying other criteria determined by guidelines on site governing pages that contain biographies of living people, and criteria pertaining to the occupation in question (in this case, broadly speaking musician). All three of the criteria governing the notability for Kate Davis must be met before she can be said to have safely satisfied the A7 notability criteria.

For G11, the article must be written from an independent 3rd party point of view, and contain information cited to third party sources that includes more than just a simple blurb about the artist and the music they make. Sources from independent 3rd party publications provided in an article can alleviate any claim of promotional bias by allowing editors add or remove relevant information from the article to help the article attain a more harmonious balance between the information you want to provide the policies and guidelines governing how it must be provided.

Lastly, on an unrelated but relevant note: The article was initially tagged by CorenSearchBot (CSB) as being a copyright violation. While you did correct this issue it is worth noting that our site policies largely prevent people from copying and pasting material from their own websites to our servers. In most cases this type of action is quickly pounced on the article almost always deleted or rewritten to remove the copyright. Before making any attempt to readd the article here it would be in your best interest to look through our copyright violation page so you can see what will and will not be accepted here on Wikipedia.
