Welcome![edit]

Hello, Abelinks212, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft:Nighthawks (2018 film), which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms our use and policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! •≈20+π(talk to me!) 20:27, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nighthawks (2018 film), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. WP:COI[edit]

Hi, thankyou for being honest about your involvement in the film but please see WP:COI as you should not create a mainspace article on a subject to which you are affiliated. However, you can create it at WP:AFC where it will be reviewed before being published. Also, to be accepted, multiple independent references need to be added as per WP:Reliable sources, and the plot cannot be the same as IMDb as that is regarded as copyvio of that site, thanks Atlantic306 (talk)

I don't know how to write you back since I'm new to adding things on Wiki, but how about you email me at [email protected] and we can get this resolved You shouldn't have deleted it without trying to help me mend the issue first.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Recreation[edit]

If you keep recreating it in mainspace with a copyvio plot and no independent references it will keep on being deleted, thanks Atlantic306 (talk) 17:26, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please review Wikipedia's guidelines for notability of future films. We consider evidence from reliable and independent sources to gauge notability. Citing academic and journalistic sources are preferred here, as they will have established reputations for fact-checking and editorial oversight. Note that citing the IMDb is inadvisable because for most information, it consists largely of user-submitted content and therefore considered unreliable. Self-published sources - including blogs, social media, message forums and Wikipedia itself - are not considered reliable sources and will be disqualified. Primary sources - those associated with the topic - can be used for basic facts but will not count towards establishing notability.
Copyrighted text cannot be used here unless it has been permanently and irrevocably released for use here. Note that any text and images that you release to Wikipedia can then be copied and/or modified freely by others, even for commercial purposes.
Review the aforementioned conflict of interest guidelines. Repeated attempts to recreate an article in the main space without heeding the notices left for you will be seen as promoting your work. This is not permitted and you will run the risk of sanctions. Either follow the proper Articles for Creation process, or better still, allow another person with no personal or professional connection to this film to write it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:44, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ill email you the content if you're interested, but be sure not to recreate the article without drastically rewording the plot. Thanks. L293D ( • ) 13:48, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Frat Star has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film, no independent secondary coverage, does not meet WP:NF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. September 2020[edit]

Information icon Hi Abelinks212! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Nighthawks (2019 film) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.
