Proposed deletion of Tommi Uschanov[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tommi Uschanov, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Does not seem to meet notability guidelines, and has not been updated to meet guidelines within a reasonable amount of time.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Fair use rationale for File:V2fiscreenshot.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:V2fiscreenshot.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Wow, that was an officious one. Hold your horses for a while so I can explain where we are with the actual state of affairs.

The template you are using sets a condition for "appropriate and verifiable licence". Please see the license that has been used on releasing the source content:

"Public Commons License
You are free: to copy, distribute, or display the content of the work, and to make derivative works. Under the following conditions: Attribution. You must attribute any original work to Ron S. Filion. If it is not an original work, you must clearly indicate that a copy of the work resides at sfgenealogy.com. You may not: duplicate the web page and/or content and declare authorship or copyright, or
make commercial use of the work without prior permission."

The license can be seen at the bottom end of the source web page. I would especially like to highlight the parts "you are free: to copy" and "Under the following conditions: Attribution. You must attribute any original work to Ron S. Filion". The original writer Ron S. Filion was attributed properly by referring to the source per his request. The source reference was properly prepared by carefully following on Wikipedia practices. Being free to do something means in another words being not forbidden; being allowed. Using similar phrases was authorized based on that. Does the license need to be somehow even more better expressed and highlighted?

The amount of ships you took a privilege to correct also was based on the map that can be seen on the lower end of the source web page. Up to 500 ships has not been revealed or proved that full quantity would have been sunk on the area. It was the total quantity being anchored at 1850's.

I am kindly requesting you to calm down and I preach in favour for accuracy for your future decisions with quite wide jurisdiction especially when threatening with chance of blocking from editing. You should really give necessary time for yourself and carefully go through the source material before performing such decisions and laying false accusations. Honestly, the used template was an overkill and I am expecting proper apologies on that. I am glad that there was another user who was willing to rephrase important and interesting detail of the history of San Francisco not to keep that silenced until the end of time.
