Hola from Deltaflyer12!
For boundry concerning the school; goto http://www.uisd.net..."Schools"...."Boundary Maps".
(http://www.uisd.net/schools/maps.htm) For some reason, De Llano Elementary and Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School are missing from that list...(I have no idea why). Your template for UISD is Awesome!!! I wanna know if I could use it??? Also, in case you are wondering where I am getting my information, I do work for the district and I am able to go to the different schools and actually check out the schools. Other times, There is a VHS tape(which I wish I had a copy of) of the first 20 years of UISD. It gives a rich history of the district for the first 20 years and talks about each school history that was build up to 1991. Even more information has come from talking to people like teachers, assistant principals, principals and people located in Central Office.
By the way, if I have pisss you off in anyway...I am sorry..and I did not mean to. Like on the LCC article, I saw that you had accidently mispelled the word "campus"..by putting.."capmus"..so I went in there and corrected it. Sometimes I will be away..from Wikipedia for awhile...you can reach me at [email protected] If you don't mine, I have a book concerning the former Laredo Air Force Base that has pictures of the former base that I would like to put on the article. Problem is....the book is currently lost...somewhere in my room...but once I find it, could you help me post some of the picture from there?
Well, in case you havn't notice, I am a big history buff (not only of Laredo..but worldwide)....eventhough I do not teach history where I work. Well, I hope we can work together on future articles and share information between each other. Thanks for your help!!
Sincerely,
PDA

Hello
Hello there AMAPO! I've been seeing your edits to Laredo, Texas, and you're doing a pretty good job. I'm sorry I reverted your edit. I didn't realize it led to Nuevo Laredo, it was my own carelessness. Anyways, I would suggest you start using edit summaries, so people won't suspect you as a vandal. Other than that, you are doing great! Oh, by the way, are you from Laredo yourself? If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page! --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 04:47, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again AMAPO! Well, you being a newcomer (a very good one) I'll give you a tip. I've seen that you're using headers with one "=" sign on each side of the title. Those aren't used in Wikipedia, you should start off with two equal signs instead. Then for another subsection after that, add one more equal sign to each side (up until a level 4 heading). See Wikipedia:Cheatsheet for more help on headings. Thanks! --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 20:50, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!
Yes, I'm from Laredo, TX. I'm also new to wikipedia so have some patience.
Happy New Year!
¡Felíz año nuevo! AMAPO! Weren't the fireworks beautiful? Hope you have a nice year! ¡Adíos!

Thanks
thanks and likewise, anyway if you feel that anything I add to the Laredo, Texas page is irrelevant or anythig feel free to delete it. I do not plan to be a wikipedian. All I'm trying to do is describe / update Laredo / Nuevo Laredo in a better / professional manner. I'm giving myself about a week to finish all this. I hope I can get my digital camera fixed to that I can take those pictures I described in the Laredo Discussion area. **crosses fingers**
once again thanx for helping me out AMAPO 08:01, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Spanish wikipedia articles
Please add wikilinks to the Spanish Wikipedia once the articles are created: I will get rid of the wikilinks in English articles WITHOUT corresponding Spanish articles. Houston ISD DOES have a Spanish article and you can use its format in new articles.
In the meantime, do you mind if you help me translate Lamar High School (Houston) and post its contents on es:Escuela_Secundaria_Lamar_(Houston) ? The latter is under AFD in Spanish, and I need help in order to save the article - if the whole article is translated, it has a much higher chance of being saved. WhisperToMe 12:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Laredo-Nuevo Laredo Metropolitan Area
Hi AMAPO. You are off to such a great start on the article Laredo-Nuevo Laredo Metropolitan Area that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 02:40, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Cozumel image
Thanks for your addition of your image to the Cozumel page! My initial feel is that it may be a better fit for the San Miguel de Cozumel article, as the image is of San Miguel, and not Cozumel as a whole like the satellite image was. Page move
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of Toluca, Mexico State and pasted it into Toluca. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 18:09, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Laredo
Hi,
You recently added a "local" pronunciation to Laredo, "Lah-reh-dou." Do you mean an English pronunciation, or Spanish? If English, I'm guessing you mean /ləˈrɛdoʊ/ luh-RED-oh, with the only difference from the outsider pronunciation being that the stressed syllable sounds like red rather than raid. Hope this helps. kwami (talk) 01:27, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- thanks a lot but I meant Laredo in Spanish, because 1, Laredo is a Spanish surname 2, Laredo, Texas population is 94% hispanic and even speaking in English we (I'm from Laredo) pronunce it in Spanish. I may have gotten it wrong this is what I meant: LA as in Latin, R as in Red, E as in Echo, D as in Doing, and O as in Oh pronounced La-re-do. -AMAPO (talk) 01:50, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- AMAPO, what you need is International Phonetic Alphabet, and maybe also help from a linguist, to figure out the correct IPA symbols for a given pronunciation. By the way, do you have any interest in New Mexico? See Wikipedia:WikiProject New Mexico. --Una Smith (talk) 19:16, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Anahuac
Hi AMAPO. In the context of Mesoamerican / Aztec geography and historical sources, there would be at least half-a-dozen different ways the term 'anahuac' is used. Depending on which source or translation you are reading —Sahagun, Duran, Motolinia, Tezozomoc, Mendieta, Prescott, Garibay K., etc— it refers to different, if sometimes overlapping, regions. Its use to mean "Valley of Mexico" is just one of these, & so I don't think it's appropriate to simply redirect to there.
I think the Anahuac article itself should be used to describe these various historical meanings, while the disambiguation for all the other terms that re-use the name, such as several US towns etc, should be handled on a separate Anahuac (disambiguation) page. Cheers, --cjllw ʘ TALK 05:00, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of XHD-TV
A tag has been placed on XHD-TV, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tokuma (talk) 08:18, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Laredo Heat
Hey, I noticed you made a change to the stadium name for Laredo Heat. Is the stadium more colloquially known as Dustdevil Field rather than the long Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex? I’d be in favor of saying something like “Laredo play on Dustdevil Field on the campus of Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas”, and then changing the infoboxes accordingly. --JonBroxton (talk) 17:22, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Televisa 4 Networks
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Televisa 4 Networks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. azumanga (talk) 05:06, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hallows AG 11:32, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
