Proposed deletion of Greatest Movie Performances[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Greatest Movie Performances, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unreferenced opinion -- article admits there is no objective criteria for judging this

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Greatest Movie Performances[edit]

I have nominated Greatest Movie Performances, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Greatest Movie Performances. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hi[edit]

I want a page on wikipedia about this topic, so i decided to sign up and start one i spent an hour creating it and 5 seconds after i did u guys try and delete it!! how do i avoid this? i want a page on this topic

I see you already found the AfD page to comment on why you believe the article is worth keeping. All I can advise you is first, don't take it personally if the page is deleted or if someone argues for its deletion. It is not personal, and people are commenting about the content, not you. Second, don't let the deletion of this page turn you off from Wikipedia. The community may decide the page should not be kept, but that doesn't mean you can not contribute to Wikipedia in other valuable ways. Theseeker4 (talk) 18:27, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

only a bachelor of arts?

At the moment, yes. Not sure why you ask. Theseeker4 (talk) 19:59, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I hope the AfD does not scare you[edit]

AJHYNES, I value your contributions to Wikipedia, but the list you have created simply does not meet the requirements, IMO, for inclusion. If we needed that list, there is another solution for it: mentioning them in each of the actors and actresses' articles here. That is a better solution, IMO. If you want to help out with that, please do so!

Thank you, happy editing, and I hope you will continue to contribute to Wikipedia. Arbiteroftruth (talk) 18:52, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Short Grammar Note[edit]

"You" is spelled Y-O-U and not U. I just want to make sure you are aware of that. Tavix (talk) 20:32, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
