Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Mandalay (poem). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:05, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Mandalay (poem), you may be blocked from editing. Please be aware that Wikipedia is a global encyclopedia, and as such all editors must write neutrally. You may think that a certain column in a newspaper is "leftist", or that a certain academic article is such; but we editors are not allowed to give our own opinions on such matters. The article describes the poem and comments on it, both favourable and unfavourable, but in every case as documented facts from reliable sources. An editor's opinion is by definition not from such a source and cannot be used. This is fundamental to Wikipedia; if you can't handle that, please do not edit here; there are any number of opinion websites where you can write what you please, but this is not one of them. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 10:00, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
