November 2024
[edit]Hello, I'm CyanoTex. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Theodosius I—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. CyanoTex (talk) 01:02, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- Not constructive? I'm merely reverting the article to the way it was for years before some editor decided to change it without discussion or listening to other opinions. I'd like you to please keep the edit up as it's just restoring the previous content of the article. If people want to discuss the result of the Gothic war there's a talk page for it. 79.103.186.102 (talk) 01:04, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia. Remsense ‥ 论 01:12, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- What exactly is poorly sourced?? Look at the article's history. I'm not the one who reverted the consensus stance on the subject for crying out loud. 79.103.186.102 (talk) 01:14, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- Remsense, uhhhmmm... don't you think this is a little bit much? CyanoTex (talk) 01:15, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- I implore you to look at the article's edit history and see that there was a specific change I am trying to revert from November 17th. I'm glad to have a discussion about what that user changed but through the talk page, not edit wars. 79.103.186.102 (talk) 01:17, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Theodosius I. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Stop it, because the next revert you make on that page earns you a block. Katietalk 01:36, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
